We're December 22 too and I am fervently hoping for a POE before August 25 as that is the wedding date we really want. From my own calculations right now my POE would be around September 1. But all that is dependent on your embassy too. Some embassies take a long time for you to schedule your interview. Others have the interview within weeks. Search the VJ timelines for recent cases in your embassy to check the current timelines.

Welcome to the madhouse :jest:

Thank you! I looked up the timelines for our country and it looks like the average time from NOA2 to interview is about 2-3 months, which is so ridiculously long  :(. I also saw a couple ~30 days noa2 to interview in earlier 2017 cases for the same country.  I was wondering if other factors play into this, like medical examination, and just overall preparation for documentation and forms which could also be a lengthy process, beneficiary availability vs embassy availability.....although we will try our best to aim for ~30 days or less when the time comes.

Ok. Question. I have all but sold my house (papers will be signed Tuesday) and I will be moving as of July 1. Where and how do I report a change of address of the beneficiary?

I’ll be doing it soon.

get he NVC number and send the embassy an email of address change with he case number

I'm pretty sure that is something you do through the Beneficiary's local Consulate (the Consulate where the interview will take place). I will have to do the same, I'm just waiting to get an actual Case # first so that the changes can be made appropriately. Doesn't hurt to reach out to their Consulate ahead of time to know what their process is for changing the Beneficiary's address - all consulates seem to do a thing or two differently...I'm a January filer and i actually emailed my Consulate yesterday about this seeing as they take their time replying :)

Thanks guys. Guess we'll have to play catch the NVC on this one. :jest:

I have emailed the consulate/embassy to ask their procedure for it just to be sure.

Ok... Next question...

I am preparing for an RFE as I think I made a mistake

I never got a signed paper from a judge whenever I got divorced. I got a notification from the lawyer that that the divorce was finalized and a notification from the city that it was recorded. I requested an original documentation from the city to prove that I was divorced which in the Netherlands means my marriage license with divorce date added to it.

I am now scared this is not what they needed. So I started digging and through the lawyer I managed to get a copy of the actual signed divorce papers from the judge. I don't have the originals but I will try and get them. But my question: the papers are in Dutch, so I need them translated. Can I do that myself? Do i need an official translator to do this? How do I go about that?

I would have an official translator do this for you. My fiancé had a document translated and the translator added their official stamp stating their name and date and that they were proficient in the English language. I've seen on other threads that the translator's info should look something like this:

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

 Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

 Signature_________________________________

Good morning guys!!!

As we get closer to getting our noa2 wich i hope is soon! I am getting very excited but nervous. Question is at the time i was filling out the I-129 form i was unemployed for a year i am sure they will request for me to get a sponsor. Am i correct?

Good morning!! I think it depends. Are you still unemployed? If you are, then yes you'd need a co-sponsor. Now if you have a job now and meet the requirement, I don't think you'd need it, but I'd include one just in case

Yes i do have a job now! Not sure if qualify yet but i will get a sponsor.you think i should fill that out now?

You're welcome!! We're in the same situation as my fiancé was unemployed when we filled but now he has a good job. Mm, you can do that if you want, I'd start with finding someone, asking a letter from the employer, gathering documents, taxes, and all that. You can download the form, fill it and save it, take your time with it and when it's time to send it/take it to the interview, you can print it. That's what I will do :D

If you meet the requirements now then you don't need a sponsor, but having one just in case is always a good bet. And yes, if you have a sponsor I'd make sure you at least know what documents they need to gather and how soon they can get them. Some of them may take a while.

So today I put my dog agility stuff up for sale. My pop-up tent, my foldable chair, my lightweight foldable crates. And it's selling like crazy. People are actually outbidding each other 🙈
What I didn't anticipate on was how much it hurts. 😳 This feels so much worse than selling the house, or the van, or even the horses. It's like I'm selling a piece of myself. I used tgis equipment every weekend in the summer for several years on nu utility trials. It was my happy place. 😢

Ready for the USCIS to begin slaying November!!! With the sheer size comparable to June I have a gut feeling they need another week with the October filers before even considering November!

I hope in my heart I’m wrong and they touch November somewhere or somehow this week!! ❤️
