Guys, do you think a September POE is realistic for us? Dec22 received date here btw.

We're December 22 too and I am fervently hoping for a POE before August 25 as that is the wedding date we really want. From my own calculations right now my POE would be around September 1. But all that is dependent on your embassy too. Some embassies take a long time for you to schedule your interview. Others have the interview within weeks. Search the VJ timelines for recent cases in your embassy to check the current timelines.

Day 133 for us since the NOA1. Counting the days till NOA2 approval. Next month is my Birthday and soon it will be my Fiance's Birthday too. I hope by 22 July that we will have a reason to celebrate. Let's keep our ducks in a row and stay positive. April really felt like never ending and dragging along.

Hope May will be a better month for the approvals.

Have a great long weekend you all. It's Friday for me. (Guess it's only in SA that there is a Holiday tomorrow).

I'm moving to a temporary apartment tomorrow so I have lots of packing to finish before tomorrow morning 8am.  (oh I wish it was time for me to pack for USA). Soon I hope.

Maybe sooner. Let's keep our positive thoughts going and visualize our approvals before end of June. It's possible. We received NOA1 on 14th December 2017.

How can you tell that October is almost finish? sorry for the stupid question. I suppose they work by date?  I want to get excited but reading on the October filers there is still some outstanding NOA2 waiting for approvals. I just wish they would finish with each month before jumping around.

There's no such thing as a stupid question. ;)

They still have a lot of October to finish up. But they work a bit like this. They start on a month and do a quick sweep starting at the first of the month and go from date to date. They do about 30 to 40% of each date that way. Right now they are at October 30th, meaning they will soon be done with the first sweep of October. After that they will jump willy nilly from date to date. You will see approvals all over the month for two weeks getting 60 to 80% done. During that time they will also start the sweep of November. So while they methodically do 30 to 40% of each November date they are scrambling to get October cleaned up as fast as they can. Once they have done November that way they will start on sweeping December while scramble to get November done. And yes, when they start on December there will still be some October cases left, just like there are still some June, July, August filers left.

They don't work by date, and they don't work by month. And I'm glad they don't. Cause if they waited to finish the month we'd still be waiting on the June filers right now.

OMW! I pray that we fall under that sweeping lot. I'm going to be positive with the process. I know they do what they think is best. As long as they start sweeping November so that we can get to December. we have 47 days till we reach our 180 days. Shame I saw some people waited 10 months. Gosh that is terrible. Almost a whole year just to get approve.

Ok. Question. I have all but sold my house (papers will be signed Tuesday) and I will be moving as of July 1. Where and how do I report a change of address of the beneficiary?

I'm pretty sure that is something you do through the Beneficiary's local Consulate (the Consulate where the interview will take place). I will have to do the same, I'm just waiting to get an actual Case # first so that the changes can be made appropriately. Doesn't hurt to reach out to their Consulate ahead of time to know what their process is for changing the Beneficiary's address - all consulates seem to do a thing or two differently...I'm a January filer and i actually emailed my Consulate yesterday about this seeing as they take their time replying :)
