I’m almost finish gathering the requirements - already have police clearance from my home country and overseas where I used to live. Just got done with photos (had to add our update pictures from our recent time together). Still working on compiling our chat logs seems easy but no it’s not it’s kinda time consuming.

Lets all be positive, we will get through this  with our much awaited NOA 2.

Yes I am also busy with the Skype calls , whatsapp conference calls, messages send, emails send after our application has been filed and from the start of our relationship. It's a pile of documents. Still have to print out the photo's but did organize them in a folder. Wait for Police Clearance and then that No Impediment letter. The lawyer will prepare a package for me and will send it the week before my medical. Now we just wait for the NOA2 approval and then the package 3 from Embassy.

There wouldn’t be any harmful affects (unless two live vaccines taken in too little time gap- I asked as I couldn’t find my records either)

Normally in japan they do the test at our clinic during the exam, you should also be able to find a place that does it. But I don’t really know how Philippines work...

thanks! glad to know that they did in your clinic/clinic where they did your medical exam. if only st. luke's or slc had competent people answering their phones to ask them about it. i would love to be able to do it during the medical already. but the last person i talked to like a month ago from slc said to just wait for the test and didn't know about the existence of a titer test. though i'm like a "girl scout" i feel better when i'm always prepared and the sooner i can leave the better. i'll try to see local forums for the philippines about it. thanks so much naes!!!

what stage you at now? are you already voh? or already done with poe? wishing all the best for you and thanks for your updates everytime.

Oh I’m still waiting for NVC...

but I called my medical place and asked them because I didn’t wait 10 days for the titer test results. They said I can do it and just bring them the results.

i won’t have an interview date till late June early July.

oh that's smart thinking of taking it ahead of time so you don't have to wait. lucky you japan is so efficient unlike my country who has people that can't answer questions like that. hohum. on the bright side at least the vaccinations are all free in slc. i just have to worry about the titer test. i saw an old topic before that talked and asked exactly what i did but it was in 2012 in the philippine sub forum. but sadly the issue was not resolved/or no one replied anymore to update what had happened. hopefully some filipinos who went through it could help answer that question for me. if ever they do have a titer test i hope it's not too long like 10 days for the results. and if they don't i'll probably look into different hospitals that do and hopefully that slc would accept it. it's pretty strict here i think and has to only be slc and the one that's really far.

oh at least you're at nvc already! yay!!! so happy for you! i saw you got your noa 2 in april 4. (of course i hoped everything breezed quickly for you so i asked if its already voh or poe. hahaha! --- wishful thinking for others).. does it take that long for nvc, ceac and interview? i thought they got faster now unlike before where nvc can take 8 weeks from some of the previous k1 posts i read. but i'd have to say i haven't been able to read a lot lately and check vj since i've been really busy in real life. anyway, good luck and i will be hoping you get your voh sooner! mwahugs!

oh i have a grade school and high school classmate that's doing the k1 visa too and her received date is march 28, 2018 but her noa 1 is april 2, 2018... does that make her an april filer? it does right? i told her to go join this forum.

We don’t know why NVC is taking a little bit longer right now s but my problem is about the embassy here. They only use Mondays for k visas so cancellation would be a miracle as the visa types are not mixed.. and because we have 2 holidays on Mondays till July it’s pretty much done...they also use snail mail instead of email 🤦🏻‍♀️

The scans are by received date date so I would say March is a better place to wait for her :)

oh that is so unfortunate that the us embassy there does it per day. yeah it would definitely make slots so limited then. and yeah double whammy on the double monday holidays. dang. well, whatever is causing nvc delay i hope nvc resolves it so that everyone can move along faster. hehehe. and everyone can be happy. win win. ahahah. anyway, good luck with the rest of the steps!!! seems like you're super prepared it's just the waiting for the interview and all.

and ok on the march! i will tell her then to do march. it's normally easy for me before to say but then i got confused with the two months/her being in between. thanks so much naes!!!

Hi@cris&rich, I have got my PCC from my home country and have lived overseas for 4 years-Australia, so-do I need PCC from that county as well?

Hi @Gau&Surya💞 far as I understand yes since you lived there for 4 years, found this listed on travel.state.gov website

  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older).

you might as well check if the PCC is something that you can request through your nearest embassy/consulate of Australia or through online.

I did a quick scan on vj previous forum and found this, OP was in general asking if the finger print is required.

I would suggest contacting the Australian embassy in your area to get solid info and guidelines.

Yes, I checked with the embassy and also call one of the doctors (There is only 2 in Venezuela).

The doctor told my fiance that in Venezuela the results can take more than a month an the sooner the better because sometimes they do not have the equipment and have to wait for months for results. Also, the police records are online thought a website which is really hard to reach (Is always down :( ) but, the police records and Venezuela are good for a year.

Thanks for this information. I also read that the medical results can't be older than 6 months when you enter the USA.  I wonder how this time limitation impacts the medical records from Venezuela when it can take so long to get the results?

IT is usually from the result date not the exam date I think. so it wouldn't affect.

are you sure it takes 1 month to get the results? (or is it because of the situation of the country right now... hope it will resolve fast..)

IF the medical is clean you have 6 months to enter (I'd suggest as early as possible because then you will have ads to do and you can use the same results if its within 1 year)

If the medical had some attention points on your health it goes down to 3 months.

Ok, good to know! Thanks for the information.  The situation is so bad in Venezuela right now that it makes this process so much more complicated (14-16 hour power outages most days, not much food and limited medical supplies).  I will have my fiance call to try and get a better time frame for when to schedule his medical.
