I’m too organised!! Haha. I already have my police certificate, new passport (as London love the best conditioned passport), tax returns etc. We are so methodical, organised, prepared for the worst, wise but ready.

I know my absolute stunning beautiful half will read this-thanks Jake LOL!! Ready to slay this-no matter whether it’s an RFE or approval!! Goodness, it’s scary as I had a psychic reading done 3 years back and the psychic was chanting USA and id meet a guy my age-hell I’d never been to the USA at that point. Well it did come true two years later as after a Celina Dion concert in Vegas i met this guy the same age as me who is now the love of my life. Gives me extreme goosebumps writing this as when I had the psychic reading done I’d never been to the USA. And look now?!!!! Can’t wait to see my babe next month!!!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love this. And love Celine Dion!

Also it’s better to over prepared than not prepared at all!

Have you checked with the embassy first? When I looked at mine, it says I would have to wait until the embassy/consulate gives you a letter and you take that to a specific doctor. Same with the police report. You just present the embassy/consulate letter to the police before the issue the certificate.

Just checking if that’s the case for you. Wouldn’t want you to have to go through all this hassle, just to do it again!

Happy Monday!

good point, I was wondering if we would have to wait for embassy to issue us a letter or we can schedule a doctor's examination before we receive NOA2 just to get everything in hand and ready to go once we get NVC/embassy notification.

Which prompt me to ask, other than doctor's appointment (varies from one embassy to another), are there anything we can prepare in advance prior to receiving NOA2?

I filled out the affidavit of support form. Forgot what the form number is. And I have a copy of my past tax returns and a copy of my latest W2. Other than that, I’m not sure.

If I'm not wrong, I think in order to schedule the medical examination they ask for either the NOA2 or the NVC case number

That’s what I thought as well. But maybe it depends on the country that the beneficiary is from. I’m guessing some countries process things slower than others so they let you get that stuff done ahead of time?

It was that moment of when I actually came to the USA and met my mr. He told he was the same age. He had a psychic reading (in March 2016) and the first thing he was told what September meant to him as it was a very special month to him that year as she seen marriage. At that point it was his best friends birthday but Jake met me in September. So scary, so beautiful and it fills my heart with so much love. Jake, my boy is my world as it all your fiancés to you guys. I could never imagine my life without him. He transformed my life ❤️❤️❤️❤️

That's probably a possibility as well, I'm not really sure which countries are under that rule, it's confusing

Like you there are other people here, so I am asking  everyone in general and not just you. I thank you for your time wasted but I still would like to know the opinion of others as lawyers will never give a 100% correct answer and people here could help out. Thanks for answering but I don't think I did anything wrong by asking for a 2nd or 3rd or even 4th opinion.

I understand you are an old and experienced member here, but it would be nice if you aren't so rude or brash to new members after all it's just a forum to help each other out and as far as reading is concerned nobody can go through all 54 pages and remember what is written is every single post.

Thanks for your time anyways.

Hey there,

We are all here for support as we know the process and appreciate what we are all going through.

I always find it useful to search the toolbar for ideas and opinions- i get that its always nice to seek a few opinions as I’m like that too. But it always nice to be nice-hope I don’t offend you. Some people need few more opinions which is perfectly fine but never underestimate/question the time that people give to reply. Always be mindful how you seek that though.

We paid for a lawyer and to be honest I ask was that the best option-prob not!!

We are all here for support so don’t feel awkward or scared to ask! A forum is designed to ask questions/research. Just be mindful sometimes of wording! Im Irish and so gentle with wording and support as we gotta be here with our history.

Ask away anything your unsure of after researching!! You have that given human right. Some of us know less than others-we are all here for support!!

Best of Irish luck 🍀

Thanks for your response. I have been feeling a little overwhelmed lately as we are drawing closer to our NOA2. Plus I have been unemployed since February so I tend to overthink things. I won’t be able to provide letter of employment/job offer if I am still without a job in July. Would my 2017 tax return 1040 and W2 be enough as evidence? Or would I have to provide letter of employment + bank statement as well?

Or would I have to provide letter of employment + bank statement as well?

The I-134 (Affidavit Of Support) instructions say this:

Submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:
A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details regarding the account:
    (1) Date account opened;
    (2) Total amount deposited for the past year; and
    (3) Present balance.
B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:
    (1) Date and nature of employment;
    (2) Salary paid; and
    (3) Whether the position is temporary or permanent.
C. If self-employed:
    (1) Copy of last income tax return filed; or
    (2) Report of commercial rating concern.
D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

I would think that without employment, it would be difficult to show you have the ability to support your beneficiary.  I'm not an expert, but it seems like you really need to be able to show that you're employed or have means of supporting your beneficiary.
