Hi there, your NOA1 is the exact same dates as mine.

So in general:

(1) Received date is the date that your petition was physically received at the service center. The petition is also stamped with this date when it is received;

(2) Your actual NOA1 notice date is the date that your petition is entered into the system and a notice issued.

We sent our 23/12/17, it was received on 26/12/17 (closed Christmas), NOA1 29/12/17. The USCIS app goes as it by your received date and the newer account (as recently updated on the USCIS website) goes by your actual NOA1 date I believe.

In regards to travelling to the US, I haven’t been there since September. However, as I live in NI we do have a pre-clearance in Ireland (Dublin and Shannon) which a lot of people use for handiness of pre-clearance.

Many people have travelled to the US successfully during both K1 and CR-1 whilst their cases have been pending-loads of threads here highlighting that. You’ll be sure to hear, “it’s not guaranteed” but sure what is in life? LOL. Be sure to always be honest, carry docs to show your home ties, answer every question truthfully. I’m actually going to US at the end of next month for a week-it’s been way too long (9 months since I’ve been on US soil!) And after advocating for it; I’m using pre-clearance 😊

Good luck 🍀

Hi,

Thanks , it's nice to know people around with the same dates.

One is received date, one is notice date, another one is submitted date (reading their descriptions would help with this)

i travelled 3 times since we started. (I’m not from a visa waiver country but I have a tourist visa) I know many people travelled. Never had any problem, actually these were the easiest entries Each took a 5 second of how long, and purpose question only.

Hi, thanks for the answers.

All the lawyers I contacted in the US say it's not a good ides to visit US now.

Lawyers only tell you what they are sure about. If he tells you you can travel and you get stopped at the border you can sue him for all he is worth.

It is true, you can be turned away at the border. Eventually the officer at the border is responsible for determining whether your intentions are legit. If he has any doubts about you returning to your home country he will not let you in. That is why most lawyers tell you not to travel.

It is very rare you will get stopped though unless there are red flags (like if you are from a high fraud country or act suspiciously, or travel with a wedding outfit).

@Naes: Can you explain the concept of Silent NOA2 ? I  read a few posts here, but couldn't understand clearly.

On USCIS page when I enter my receipt no. - it says case received. I have not received anything other than NOA1 . In such a case too can silent NOA2 come?

Silent NOA2 means you don't get any email/text message just a written NOA2 confirmation right?

Yeah , what you are saying makes sense and is logical. But to be on the safe side my fiance and I decided that I shouldn't visit US. He comes to see me in India.

all the beneficiaries I know on the other hand had awesome US vacations.

if all the lawyers you know already told you that, why are you even asking here?

a silent noa is what we call comes without an update on the old site but usually shows up in the new site. (All explained in that same post about these sites) it doesn’t suddenly come. We just call it because hard copy comes without notice.

A silent NOA-2 is indeed not registered on any of the digital sources we have. It means you will get a paper NOA-2 without an email or anything.

Your received status mean that your case has been received at the USCIS. It is in the to-do pile so to speak. Everyones case is registered as received. If you get your NOA-2 it will either change approved or it will still be on received. In the last case you will have a silent NOA-2.

No there’s no issues I’m just asking if the answer after explaining something will end up with “all the lawyers...” then there’s no meaning in explaining so I wondered in the end if what I wrote by taking my time doesn’t mean anything, why ask.

Like you there are other people here, so I am asking  everyone in general and not just you. I thank you for your time wasted but I still would like to know the opinion of others as lawyers will never give a 100% correct answer and people here could help out. Thanks for answering but I don't think I did anything wrong by asking for a 2nd or 3rd or even 4th opinion.

I understand you are an old and experienced member here, but it would be nice if you aren't so rude or brash to new members after all it's just a forum to help each other out and as far as reading is concerned nobody can go through all 54 pages and remember what is written is every single post.

Thanks for your time anyways.

It would be just as nice if you would take your time and use the search option at the top of the page in stead of asking us to explain everything to you. We have been here for months and love to share our experience with people. But sometimes we get a bit snarky when new members come in and question that experience. I understand Naes' frustration here. If you don't trust our opinion, why ask at all. Her and I share the same views and experiences.

So just sit back and relax, you still have several months to go before even getting that NOA-2.  Try and use the search button on the top of the page and any questions that you haven't been able to find an answer to will be answered in time.

I don’t consider me asking “why do you ask if the answer is “all lawyers said” is rude.

literally 1 page before this page explained about the current situation, so nobody asked you to read 50 something pages. But this is a forum so I usually expect people here coming for info read stuff. Someone literally pulled that info for you again with the explanations of even silent noa2... so yeah in the end there’s a lot of reading. It has nothing to do with being experienced or old. People get experienced because they read.

Here you’ll find 127 pages about 2000 answers to what you just asked old to new. You may have to read it tho.

Again, thanks for sending so much information. I did read and then only ask. You are under no obligation to answer.
