Hey Guys finally I can join the crew. I finally mailed everything off and received my NOA1 yesterday December 20th. It took me nearly 6months to get everything for the application finished, so I am happy to reach this point.

How the heck did it take you 6 months to prepare?? I did mine in like 3 days.

Fill out the form, print evidence, get passport photos, and send the check.

Well when I started my process I was living in China with my fiance but had to suddenly move and come back to the USA find a job and a place to live so it took a bit longer to get everything ready then I originally anticipated.

This is an update of a graph I posted around one month ago when I compared April and May regarding the length of time from Received to Approved. Now I'm including June under the same conditions.

As a reminder, in the graphs below I try to compare what happened within the next 173 days after that last day of April, May and June received cases. In order to see it clearer I put them together in pairs.

In that time, with a total of 1394, 1507 and 641 approved cases (after removing some outliers) respectively:

  • April had a global mean of 153.08 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 15.04 days.
  • May had a global mean of 169.95 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 9.45 days.
  • June had a global mean of 181.61 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.64 days.

After what we've seen over the last weeks it's not surprising to see that the times have worsened significantly in the last month and, what's worse, they have approved much less cases in the same period of time. The explanation for this might just be that it's Christmas and less adjudicators are working on cases... let's say with a less urgent attitude <_<

Hopefully everything will slowly start looking better from January on and we'll all have a happier beginning of the new year to come!

Is your fiance from phillipines? Mine is, I'm wondering if it'll be longer because of that.

The location really only makes a difference when it comes to the Muslim countries.  The Philippines is one of the busiest Embassies for visas so there are challenges getting appointments but really not that bad.  We have no idea why this is taking so long.  Our petition is very straight forward.  There have seen approvals from late June but for some reason there are still 134 June 6th virgins (files never touched).  It is like they lost all the petitions from our date!

Welcome to the thread.  There is a lot of information available to people from the Philippines.  Check out this link...

Hi Everyone! My fiancé (USC) is sending out the I-129f tomorrow, so we're in the last stages of triple-checking the whole thing (octuple-checking actually haha!). Quick question to you folks who have completed the form: Did you write "N/A" in all the blanks for sections where you check a yes/no box? For example, part 1 line 37: No, he has not been previously married. Therefore we shouldn't have to fill out anything in the following section (38a. - 39), right? I've read a lot of contradictory information about this issue, so I just wanted to check what people have been doing. Thanks!

  • 10/30/2018 POE on K-1 visa

  • 06/17/2019 New Card is Being Produced! (EAD)
