I was finally on the verge of losing hope and patience, especially since it’s harder on my other half to be patient than fir me, seeing her sad made me sad. Then I made a last minute log onto new website at 1130pm, it said approved. Received was the status even at 930pm, I’m still in shock but so happy.

Noa 1 Received date dec29

noa 2 July 27 approval new website

Congrats. Once you get your case number you are now in charge of how fast you want your approved visa from USEM. Follow the below instructions I know you will fly through this next step.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get down. To smooth that trail for your I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

213 days

NOA1: Dec 26 ,2017

RFE: Jul 27, 2018

Hello all, we just received an RFE today :(. We missed a checkbox under Part 3. 4a (have you ever been arrested..etc).  The RFE stated to, "Compete the item(s) circled in red on the attached copy of the petition and return with your signature and date. If any item does not apply, write "N/A".

We are completely confused as to where my fiance should sign and date on the petition as it does not indicate anywhere for him to sign/date. I have seen somewhere on this forum similar situations as ours but they had a section for them to actually sign and date. We weren't sure if he should've signed/dated directly on the corrected petition in a blank spot near the bottom, so he ultimately put it on a sticky note and attached it to the corrected petition. I'm wondering if this is acceptable?

Thanks in advanced to anyone who is able to clarify or had this similar issue.

Since a sticky note can lost or removed it would have more advantages that you just picked a spot and signed the document. If they wanted you to sign something it would have been outlined in the letter to you. I understand your concern and can appreciate you did what you thought was best. Let's cross our fingers and hope your approval comes soon.

guys, if you received a letter from the uscis after the answer to the rfe, that the case is still under review and so far there are no updates. does this mean that the review will be longer than expected? or this is the standard answer after two weeks?

After two weeks they probably haven't touched it. Normal processing time for a returned RFE is that your record will be touched soon afterwards but that varies. Just give it some time.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Can't tell you the reason and nor can anyone else. Just have to be patient but are you sitting around waiting for your file to arrive at USEM before collecting your needed forms, paying the visa fee, completing CFO and medical and scheduling your interview? I hope not! I posted everything you needed. And your welcome.

For my RFE, I missed a box.  After checking the box, I signed and dated it directly below my response.  We were approved a few weeks after returning it.  Maybe call to get clarification in case you need to resubmit?

I have a question, so once I get the MNL case number, how soon can we schedule an interview and medical? Is there usually a wait to get an embassy interview? And should we wait for CFO until after interview since they need the passport and visa for sticker?
