Your situation brings shivers to my skin, I am so sorry for what you are facing! I can not even begin to I angine!!! You need each other, comfort each other....and I truly hope this simple issue is resolved fast. Purely an innocent mistake, anyone of us could have done it!! This is a very nerve racking situation!! The stress of it all is large!!!!

Tell me about it, fiancé is understandably stressed and mad, we had a row yesterday, but we talked today and focus on what matters, we love each other, it was a mistake, as painful as it is, turning on each other does not resolved anything.  So we are appealing and waiting again.   I am trying not to go crazy, keep playing the day I returned the RFE and how in the hell could something like that have happened to me, its hard not to blame myself, I now it doesn't help but its the hardest thing to put it out of my head.   Thanks for the kind words, it helps a lot.

This is a very very very very very stressful situation for both your fiancé and you. It is so much on your shoulders as the petitioner. I know it’s been hard on me as the female, taking all this responsibility on myself. But I know it’s hard for him to not be able to help. Your situation is much the same...you have a lot of responsibility and it’s hard for her because she just wants to be with you. It’s Normal for emotions to run high. But the most important is get strength from one another and get through it. Don’t blame yourself, blame the stress of it!! You did the best you could do!! A very innocent mistake....sadly now it adds more time and I truly hope it can easily be fixed!! My heart hurts for you both! But stay strong!! Trials now help you get through trials later as a married coup,e and if you can get through this...lol you can get through them later. They make you stronger!

Hi everyone,

I think probably I’m the person here who waits the longest for NOA2. We got our NOA1 on Dec 1 on old site and Dec 6 on new site. It has been 236 days since the NOA1 (old site) and nothing update:cry:. We requested the inquiry online and got a mail said they were still adjudicating and would respond within 60 days (which is insane). We also called them but only were told that we could file another request in 15 days…

I don’t know if anyone has the similar experience or if someone can please let me know what more can I do other than waiting, it’s too frustrating. Thanks so much!

Similar responses too. I'm an October 24th filer!  Trust me you are not the only one out there.... Patience is key :) ...We will get there...

:oops:This does sound like a simple mistake that shouldn't have cost you a denial. I know the folks at USCIS are very busy but I guess, not having a signature to answer to something that was sent and received by the applicant shouldn't cause such stress.

Then on the other side, being very careful and looking over things and if your like most of us, you read your own mistake. I looks correct when it fact it's not will bite you every time. I am bad for that. Another pair of eyes never hurts.

I hope you're able to have your case reopened and you get the approval. To go through this again, I agree could make one to start drinking.

Come back and let us know what takes place. We are here cheering you on. :dancing:

Thanks, I have done lots of applications for several friends who do not speak English, without any issues.  That it has happened twice to me, in the most important decision of my life has me lost for words.   Excuses, if any, is that is to close to my own heart, the long process, the emotional drain of the waiting, the frustration waiting for the RFE, the relief when you realize is a simple X that you were missing, and the rush to get it back to them the same day was my downfall and I am paying dearly for it.   Thanks for the kind words of encouragement, its appreciated

They do makes us stronger.  She is frustrated as you said , not being able to help or do anything, just waiting!  We had a long talk today and we are good, she is an amazing women and I am so blessed to have her.  I did book a flight to go see her in a couple of weeks while we are waiting for the I-290B appeal.   Many thanks to all you guys, honestly, this place is the most helpful thing one can ask for, for both information and support.

What sort of time-frame is the norm for appeals?

Today I called again to USCIS to ask what is going on if they ever sent my RFE or how long it takes for that letter to arrive. The tier 1 lady asked me if I checked online. I answered how am I supposed to check online if you guys don't update your system. She than asked me my WAC number and after that she asked me if my fiance is with me and I said no and she said that info is confidential and without my fiance present she is not allowed to give me any info. I am just shocked. If we are two in this application and obviously he is not with me because this is what this process is all about, to bring him here so we can be together, than why she cannot give me a simple answer. If site is not updated, they don't provide us with any info, how then  I am supposed to know what is going on? Why I have no right to know what is going on with the application I am a part of. That is very disrespectful. I am so mad I will definitely write a feedback with my USCIS experience when all is done.  I am trying not to lose my temper, but is hard. This process is hard enough why to make it even more complicated?

the only I-290B I am aware of, was fast, 7-10 days for a response, the case was -reopened and approved a month later.  Its not nearly enough to make an estimate with just one reference but I have hope.

how long have you been waiting to get the letter? i just got notified this morning that we have an RFE coming our way and I'm a bit nervous about them being so slow and backlogged - that it might take 'outside the normal processing times' just to receive it

Its easier said than done but I truly believe your case will be revived and you will get approved sooner than you think. Give it at least until the final determination before anything, including reprimanding yourself :)

I finally got to speak with tier 2. Turned out they never sent a RFE, why? I don't know. On the July 11 I placed a service request and they said to allow 15-30 days for a response. Today an officer was assigned for my service request.

When I called last week another officer said on the July 18th they sent me a RFE. Today the tier two could not tell me why the RFE was not sent yet. She said "The officer may not need that info yet, the letter was ordered, but not sent yet, and your case is still in pending". They totally confused me, I just don't understand what is going on. They are talking about weeks and months so easily like people have all their life to wait. This process is so not fair. I am just very frustrating right now.

There possible still going over ur case. Found something missing and marked it as a rfe. Still currently reviewing ur case. Be happy u got this much info as other have heard nothing. Also, if they sent out the rfe and didn’t include everything in it. U send it back and something still missing. U could end up denied.

Look at it on the bright side and try not to be negative about it. U could always be in a worse position then u currently r.
