Hi everyone,

I think probably I’m the person here who waits the longest for NOA2. We got our NOA1 on Dec 1 on old site and Dec 6 on new site. It has been 236 days since the NOA1 (old site) and nothing update:cry:. We requested the inquiry online and got a mail said they were still adjudicating and would respond within 60 days (which is insane). We also called them but only were told that we could file another request in 15 days…

I don’t know if anyone has the similar experience or if someone can please let me know what more can I do other than waiting, it’s too frustrating. Thanks so much!

Hi,

I received my letter yesterday about the denial of my application:  I feel like I want to die right now.   I forgot to acknowledge and sign the RFE, I am usually a very careful person and I cant believe it has happened twice in this process.

Anyway, the officer attending my case denied the case on base of ineligibility based on missing the signature only.  Its the most devastated thing that has happened to me, I am still in shock that I missed that simple signature.   Totally my fault, but I am sending an appeal from today I-290B along with the RFE copy I had saved, properly signed this time and hope they re-open the case.   Everyone that receives an RFE, please do check and double check, don't let the excitement of the moment overtake you as it happened to me.  Go luck to all still waiting for the NOA2 from this month.

I don't think I can start this process again,  if they do not re-open the case, I will be moving there instead.  Another 9-10 months are just to much right now to even consider it.

Is it an intent to deny or a direct denial?

thats so painful :( all that time and work for them to quickly just stamp it 'denied' over a simple signature. i really hope they can give you a chance to fix that since its simple. At least you would be able to move their as a backup. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to do the process over again. I wouldn't either - way too much time, money and things that are up in the air. It's enough to drive anyone insane. Im crying for you both :(

Thank you!  That's the reason I am sending the I-290B today, it is so simple that I am hoping they re-open the case, 675 US just for that, not that I care about money just now.   Well, we'll see, I wont have an answer until next week so here is to waiting some more.  And, I don't trust myself anymore so I am having some one going over the Appeals form, make sure everything is completed properly.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

U are far from the longest waiting to hear still. People from June thru November still waiting. Not sure where ur fiancé is from since u didn’t fill out a profile. It could simple be do to ur fiancé is coming from a high fraud country or u have common last names to where it takes more time for them to do back ground checks.

Hang in there. U will hear something shortly.

:oops:This does sound like a simple mistake that shouldn't have cost you a denial. I know the folks at USCIS are very busy but I guess, not having a signature to answer to something that was sent and received by the applicant shouldn't cause such stress.

Then on the other side, being very careful and looking over things and if your like most of us, you read your own mistake. I looks correct when it fact it's not will bite you every time. I am bad for that. Another pair of eyes never hurts.

I hope you're able to have your case reopened and you get the approval. To go through this again, I agree could make one to start drinking.

Come back and let us know what takes place. We are here cheering you on. :dancing:
