Oh I LOVE the general Scouse accent!!!! The UK is great as there is such a diversity of accents. I’m from NI myself.

Ha! I loooooove Liverpool! I'm a complete Beatlemaniac, so every chance I get to go to Liverpool, I take! Forced my fiancé to go to Liverpool with me last time I visited the UK. We had the best time. I'm pretty good with the Scouse accent, but we had one server at a restaurant whose accent I had a really hard time with, and it cracked us both up. My fiancé is from Hertfordshire, so he struggles with the Scouse accent as well, haha!

Still waiting for NOA2 and also a response back for "inquiry outside of normal processing window".  I've seen posts where people said a response back from the inquiry was an auto generated response saying something along the lines of "background checks are being done".  228 days in since NOA1 and still trying to stay hopeful.. but this process is brutal.

We are still here 🙋🏼‍♀️ .

We are officially out of processing today so we called and the lady said “looks like they sent something out on the 7th july” but we haven’t received anything in the mail yet.

We are expecting an RFE so it will be that.

She also told my fiancé it can take up to 30 days for the mail notifications to be delivered (crazy and ridiculous but what can we do, hey!) so you should definitely call because you might find out something at least.

😁

edit to add...

None of the apps or websites have updated to say anything was done to our case, they all still say received 26th Dec.

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

Hi folks, my dearest sympathies to those with RFEs, denials, and no NOA2 yet.  I suppose I should feel very fortunate.

Has anyone in NOA2 had their case assigned but sit "at NVC" for over two weeks?  I was hoping to breeze through this step, but still waiting for it to be sent overseas since case assignment on July 5th.

We're in a similar boat too. Our case arrived at the NVC on July 2nd, and it still says "at NVC." It does seem like this is still pretty standard these days, unfortunately. I feel like a lot of people's cases are the NVC for 3 weeks - 1 month. Here's to hoping all of us stuck at the NVC and those who are still waiting for their NOA2 will see some movement this week! We're so close, guys! We've got to stay strong, and keep the faith.

Hi A_R!

I know it is disheartening to feel everyone if getting their approval but you, but let me offer some words of encouragement.

Getting your NOA2 later than others doesn't always mean you will be getting your visa later as well. Hang on to that thought because that is what matters at the end of the day, isn't it? Even though I daresay the wait for NOA2 is the hardest, the steps that follow will depend a LOT on your Embassy procedures and, of course, on how fast NVC finishes processing your case.

I got my NOA2 on June 18 (June 15 according to hard copy). Case was only assigned on July 6, and today, more than 2 weeks later, my case is still at NVC. Then it will be one week at least for it to get to my local Consulate after it leaves NVC, and here is catch: in Brazil, they only allow to schedule an interview when case is ready, the earliest date they offer is one month from the date you access their system and they only do K1 interviews on Tuesdays. That means, in short, that August is off the table now. If anything, I'll be lucky to get a date in early or mid September (and then it is two weeks to get passport with visa upon approval - probably no September POE for me either).

Why am I telling you this? Because browsing the forums I see people who got their NOA2 many weeks after me, their case arrived in the NVC in 10 days and they were already able to book their medicals and interview.

I have no doubt whatsoever that they will have their visa in hand much before me!

So... who knows? Maybe your NOA2 is taking a little longer to get there but when it does, you will be able to navigate what is left of the journey much faster than you expect! :)

Keep your head up and don't lose faith.

Hi ,

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement.

I know there is light at the end of the tunnel, just that it’s very disheartening to see people of 1/18 getting approvals and so many if us in December even people before me still waiting.

I just wished the system was more in order and in my eyes everyone is equal so why should they treat us unequally? All of us filed at the same time with the same fees. I have never cribbed about the long wait I know it’s a long n brutal process but I would have liked if it was fair too. All of us are equal and no one is special. My NOA1 is Dec 26th and people here wth the same date got their approval almost a month before. How is that fair in any way?

It is easy for people who got their NOA in time to say but I thank all of  them for the support so much , but they really cannot understand our plight since you really cannot understand a situation unless you step into their shoes.

Some people are still waiting from November that is just not fair.

I hope they get their approval soon and all people in December waiting too get it soon.

I have read a lot here to trust the system but it is difficult to trust an unfair system but maybe expecting a fair system is naive of me.

We all want to be with our loved ones/ fiance asap and I hope we all get that at the earliest.

Thank you @Nat&Amy , @Little_Vixen and everyone else for the support offered. You all do provide imus hope and are helping us to het through this time. Thanks once again.

Wishing everyone the strength to get through this difficult time.
