I promised myself that I would not whine on VJ before I hit 210 days and the case was officially over 210 days and beyond normal processing times.

I just called my fiance in Japan and we are so happy to move to the next steps.

We are the 20th of December also and have not heard anything. I don’t know if it’s “normal”. Seems to be 😏

Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement. You'll see how long it is taking others. It's not perfect but it's the closes you'll come to what is the possibility for your processing timeline. It's a better mousetrap.

I just saw on FB someone posted that their K 1 visa got approved with NOA 1 being January 18th. In the comment was mentioned the response came from Texas Center. I know a couple of years ago there were 2 centers that were working with K1 visas, California and Texas and maybe Vermont, but then I read somewhere that Texas Center is no longer accepting applications for K1. Does anyone know if Texas started to process cases again?

This person was probably confused because the address where we all send our petitions is a Texas lockbox. However, all K-1 petitions then get sent to California by the USCIS to be processed.

oops sorry I misread your post. If the response came from Texas, perhaps it was an expedited petition?

Hi everyone.  Been following this forum since the start but haven't posted until now.  Wanted to let everyone know that I found out today that we were approved!!!

 

NOA1: 12/12/17 (old site) 12/15/17 (new site)

NOA2: 7/16/17

216 days

 

I called every day after we were out of normal processing time and finally got approval over the phone today from a tier 1.  Hope this information is helpful.  Good luck to all those still waiting, and thanks to all for the support and encouragement!!

Praying and hoping for other December filers/beneficiaries who are still waiting to receive their approvals too!!!

I am going to have a business trip to Italy sometime next week. Should I worry about that would affect my NVC process? Do I need to update anything to both my wife and my embassy?  NOA2 was approved few days ago and waiting for my NVC number or call them if needed.
