How common is an RFE?  I pray we all do not get one...

This year it's more than previous years.

not everyone gets one. However people lately get rfe for things they have already sent.

Lost papers? We have no clue.

But if you're asked you reply.

That's why it is extremely important to have an identical copy of all the papers you have sent at the initial application.

I can see it having to do with all the scanning they do. If you have a large pile of paperwork it's not uncommon for you to miss a page while scanning. If they then work from the digital file and not have the paper file with them they miss things.

Let's keep our fingers crossed none of us gets those.

@decfiler, if you have your timeline filled out it will give you a pretty accurate estimate. My NOA-2 is now estimated between jul 6 and jul 10. (dec 22 filer)

Just to give a reality check.

4 people from the same date in November received noa2. However so far it looks like anomalies. And there's yet a sign for that kind of improvement as there is August, September and October waiting untouched.

hopefully there will be some improvement but those noa2 s right now are not a part of it.

It's ok, don't say sorry :)

As all 4 approvals was the same received date; so far we think there was some random mistake. None of These cases are also not updated online.

If we see some other dates having approvals, then it may mean something else however so far all these are november 16 only.

and as I said there's august, September and october before that still waiting without any news. So it would be a big problem if they just passed those and suddenly start from November.
