I do have a question.....what is everyone’s thoughts of what should be in the packet to show the embassy we have a bon a fide relationship and it has continued? Our first packet had WhatsApp text and phone calls, letters written from others who knew of our relationship, photos, motorcycle we bought in our name and plan tickets showing I spent two years together. 

 

This packet we have the same....continuing phone calls and text messages, photos, plan ticket to visit him, proof preparing for the wedding, receipts rings bought.....

but im wondering if I should include a letter written by our new landlord stating he is aware he will be renting to my fiancé (soon to be husband) and I. Both our names are on the contract. We will be renting from a friend, so it’s ok if we don’t have a date of when we start. My question is more.....do you think it’s valuable to add this letter showing we have a contract with a place to rent in both our names? Thanks for your thoughts! 

You don't need a "ton" of proof for your relationship. They may not even look at any of it but just the same. Include phone calls and text messages, photos, plan ticket to visit him and 6-8 photos of the two of you together in the photo along with family. They rely on pictures with family as that is solid evidence along with the other that your a couple. Talking about, or showing receipts for wedding plans and rings can sometimes be used against you. There are examples of this throughout VJ. So just leave that information out. Letter from your landlord means nothing to the CO.

First try shooting off an email to the Ombudsman at cisombudsman@HQ.DHS.GOV The Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent perspective to USCIS in an attempt to resolve problems.

 

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

have been put through once to a tier 2... well not me as im the beneficiary but my fiancé did the other day and the guy said im in new York and cannot see anything because im not in California.

they just lie. I have done two out of processing inquiries and basically had no answers.

Wow didn’t realize wedding plans could be used against you...but why....isn’t that the point of the visa 😜. Thank you for the advice...will try to do some research on here about this

Have you seen and followed my information to contact congress and ombudsmen? It should give you a little piece of mind. Congress usually can move the case along.

have done both these things. no response. ombudsman can take up to 120 days for a response.

 

this is very hard my fiancé works very long hours and sometimes 7 days a wk so its becoming incredibly hard

It's based on your presentation of that information and the interruption that the CO draws from it. Some have shown pictures of a "engagement party" and I have heard that they were declined as the CO thought it was a wedding party. If the question is asked "do you have any wedding plans" your answer is "we have talked about it but since we can't determine when and if our application will be approved" that's all it is for now. Short, sweet and to the point.

If you have done both then your pretty much in the mercy of the USCIS adjudicator. Each state has two senators and numerus House of Representative. I'd move on to the next one on the list and send them a letter asking for help. Don't give up.

thank you. this is a massive struggle and very upsetting to see people who applied 2months after us be approved.
