The long hard wait is almost over people. Hold on. Once you get that NOA-2 you forget all about the pain and suffering. You'll be scrambling to get your documents in order and re-reading what all this NVC stage entails.

It's Thursday today so let the rain of approvals start again! I'm praying you all hear something very soon.

Hope so :(

If you have been following approvals for very long you would have noticed that Wednesday is always a very slow day for approvals where there are typically none to only a very few.  Even though we may not like it, the zero for today is about what I realistically expected.  Things should pick up on Thursday and Friday.

Patiently waiting at day 204.

Thank you for explaining this! Hoping today!

Hi everyone! We found out yesterday (July 11th)  that we were approved on July 10th by calling USCIS. Our case status has always shown received on both old and new site and still shows same after being approved. Here is our case timeline:

NOA1: Dec 8th (old), Dec 13th (new)

RFE: June 21st - We forgot to tick a check box

RFE hard copy received: June 25th (we sent it back same day)

RFE response received by USCIS: June 29th

NOA2: July10th

We are so grateful to God that this part of the wait is over. For those still waiting we wish you goodluck everyone and encourage you to keep the faith! Its coming!

Charles & Hannah❤

Hi! Did you ever receive confirmation from USCIS that they got your response? Or do you just know they got it based on the tracking/delivery service you used? USPS tracking confirmed USCIS got our response but I tried calling USCIS to make sure our case was taken off hold/the response was received and they said they couldn't give me any update unless 60 days had passed. Thanks!

Hi Luna. We never received any confirmation from USCIS that they got our response. We only knew they got it based on USPS tracking. We really werent expecting it since the RFE was "silent". If yours was silent, and USPS delivery says they got it, then dont worry about it. If uve waited for up to 10 days since it was delivered and the websites aren't updating, id say go ahead and keep calling to find out if you have been approved.

Just checked the new website and we got a RFE on July 10. I am yet to receive the letter in mail from USCIS. I have no idea what the RFE is about, hopefully about something that can be easily fixed. I am glad that at least they touched our case. NOA1 is December 22nd.  No email or text notification.

Since we have similar situation let me explain exactly how we got the information from USCIS:

My fiancee (petitioner) called to get an update on 7/11. They told him since it's past 7 months they will submit an inquiry to get an update on the case asap. He also asked then to get him to a 2nd level Officer and they said ok and put him through. The phone system made him wait for 100mins for a call back. They finally called back after about 120mins and the 2nd level officer told him the case was approved on 7/10...I guess there is no need to wait for the inquiry update as the 1st level agent didn't have access to the same information as the second level officer who called back.

If you havent done so already, you might want to try this.

Cheers,

Hannah

Don't be too worried.  The USCIS official website currently says I-129F average processing time is 7.6 months.  Currently based on data I have seen over 50% of the cases extend beyond the 7 month period.  I would not be surprised if they increase the number of months soon that they call normal as things do not seem to be speeding up.

Dec 20, 2017 filer still patiently waiting.

No movement again guys??

I just don't understand what they are doing. I am beginning to hate opening up this thread because if the number of pages hasn't changed for hours then I just know that nothing is happening. The fact that it has the ability to ruin my day is not good. VJ is my only source of sanity and hope, considering that USCIS is becoming so terribly bad at updating their websites and apps, but now even this is driving me crazy.

They told us not to call again until the 22 (when we are out of normal processing) but that's another 10 days that it could just be hanging around someone's desk, maybe it's done, maybe it's not.

I am positive many of you feel the same. Sorry for the rant.

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

Ours is Dec 26 Old site and 29 on the new. When I looked earlier anything 14 Dec or before is out of normal processing.

You probably have until about Monday or Tuesday of next week before they hit 20 Dec.
