We get approved on June 28 and we wait for NVC letter. I have a question, before we fill out the k-1 visa, In December 2016, i was going to the USA for spent my birthday and Christmas with my fiance. But they took me in their office ask me questions, watch my phone. They had suspicious of me working, and also I had only one ticket for go( i know, big mistake!)  they put me in detention for 24h after they send me back to France. Everything is predicated on your background checks, if anything was added to your record from this altercation with Immigration on your 2016 trip and what you say at the interview and how that is interrupted by the interviewing CO. NO ONE can tell you what your future holds. Having said that, I want to advise you to tell the truth, be confident in your answers, your answers should be short and to the point without rambling. Rambling will get you in trouble every time as it gives the CO more information in which to draw more information from you. You need to spend time thinking what your answer will be to the CO's questions when you are asked during your interview. Better to think about the answer now instead of in from of the CO with no preparation. They are going to ask you why you bought only a one way ticket to the States. They are going to ask why you planned this visit. There will be more. 

 

The fact you were visiting your fiancé(e) in 2016 and subsequently when you lost your ESTA visa the two of you found ways of continuing your love for each other by visiting each other in your country and other locations can be a positive as it shows the commitment to each other.

 

One last item DON'T volunteer information; wait for the questions and answer only those.

Driven you are wonderful. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your effort. I'm sop glad the database is up and running again. It somehow alleviates my anxiety.

Old web site is the same as hard copy noa1. But if u reach the magical 7months 210 days u must wait till 215th day to call uscis. If u don't they will tell u to call when ur out of normal processing time.

Just wanna encourage people who are waiting for an approval after responding to RFE.

Here's our case timeline...

 

NOA1: Dec 15 (Old site), Dec 19 (New site)

RFE: Jun 20 (My fiance forgot to answer two questions on I-129F)

Got RFE hard copy: Jun 26

Send RFE back: Jun 27

USCIS received RFE: Jun 29

NOA2: Jul 10

Yea!   Just received a Text Message from USCIS that my I-129F petition has been approved.  It also shows approved on the old website and on the Android App.

 

Date I mailed I-129F to lockbox:  12/26/2017

Date displayed on old website:  12/28/2017.  (I-797C (NOA1) Received Date)

Date displayed on new website:  01/02/2018. (I-797C (NOA1) Notice Date)

 

For those still waiting, you will be soon!   This is evidence that the USCIS is working to get everyone approved.  

 

A few notes about my I-129F petition that may be helpful to future petitioners:

1) I did NOT include copies of all pages of my passport.   I included only the bio-page and passport stamps (used as partial proof of meeting the 24 month requirement)

2) I did NOT include the back side of my birth certificate  (it was blank)

4) I did NOT include "the story of how we met".   I will be including that with my Packet 3 to the Bangkok embassy.

5) My petition included approximately 10 photographs of my fiancee and myself

6) I included copies of both my birth certificate and passport bio page.  (only one should be necessary)

7) I consider my case simple - Unique given name and surname (easy background check) (both petitioner and beneficiary), no prior arrest history (both petitioner and beneficiary), no prior marriages (both petitioner and beneficiary)
