Can you please tell me where you view your case as ready? I hear people saying you can schedule your interview after this happens. But where do you actually see this?

NOA 1: 26 Dec 2017

RFE 22 August 2018

NOA 2: 08 September 2018

Medical: 16 October 2018

Interview: 22 October 2018

Visa in Hand: 2 November 2018

POE: 10 November 2018 - Baltimore

Wedding:   :

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

Thanks! Would the K1 be considered non-immigrant?

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 even though it truly is a non immigrant visa requiring I-134. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (CEAC). It stays that way until after approval and ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

For all of you getting approvals congrats!!!! From my personal experience it took 17 days for my petition to reach the NVC after my approval. Looks like right around the 3 week mark is status quo.  After calling NVC for my case number I completed the DS160, which by the way did not even ask for the NVC case number it wanted the USCIS WAC number!!!  After electronically submitting the DS160 I printed the confirmation page.  I had an opportunity to print the entire application at that time and I wish I had because it is no longer an option. (You will not need the entire application for your interview only the confirmation page).  Also after submitting the DS160 I wanted to pay the fee and schedule the interview however I was a little ahead of myself since the status of my petition is still "AT NVC" in need to be patient and wait for the status to change to "READY" so I was unable to do that as of right now.  Hopefully very soon our paperwork will be in transit to the US embassy in Jamaica. That all I have for now I'll keep you all updated as things move along.  Good luck to all who are still waiting.  I'm praying for you!!!

I'd like to learn something, as you have experience with starting the process for Jamaica. When you went to schedule the interview, you stated you could not schedule the interview. Did you even get pass paying for the interview when you tried the scheduling process? Did you have any information then or now that was shared with you "that the Jamaica Embassy doesn't allow your to schedule until your case is set to READY"? Thanks.

Posted in Jan...

Just was notified approved today!!  Depending on which website, NOA1 was Dec. 29th or Jan. 4th.  Paper copy had Dec. 29th.

So took 192 days from receipt to approval.

I am so ecstatic!!

Once you have your case number do you have the information to start putting your interview together and what the process is at USEM?
