thanks for the answer
my fears have come true, that again it is necessary to wait a long time:unsure:

They received my RFE June 20th and I have not received a response yet.  Status is, "We have received your request for more evidence and you case is no longer on hold"  15 days today and trying not to go crazy waiting for it.  Hang in there, at least they are working on our applications.

Will do, there is also a Facebook for Cubans going trough this process right nor w.  Plenty of information, interview details and required paperwork, paying the Visa in Guyana and so on.  It is a secret group, so the information stays private, I can add you to the group if you provide me you email address.  PM me if you prefer not put your email address in here.

Hello,

My NOA1 date is Dec 7th, and I haven't heard anything from them regarding the case, so I finally decided to give them a call this morning.

After checking my case number, the rep at USCIS told me that the standard timeframe to get a response on the case was 5-7 months per the USCIS website and that I was just 2 days away from hitting the 7 month mark.  She told me that I will be able to submit a formal online inquiry if I don't hear back until Monday the 9th, and that USCIS has to provide some kind of an update to me for the online inquiry.

It's really frustrating that I'm almost near the 7 month mark and it's just been dragging on, but I thought I'd share this experience since I know I'm not the only frustrated one.  Hopefully they can keep working on these cases so that more and more people can receive updates.

I called and the customer service rep said the exact same thing so because im a late dec filer she basically said i have another month of waiting before i should call back again...Dec 22 NOA1 here. Well.....I'm glad that they are updating the new website now. At least there's that.

I did the same this morning,  they said we are within normal processing time,  and once the normal time passes were can send a formal inquiry

It's so frustrating seeing cases after ours being approved it just makes you question why are we stuck in the system.

Hi. I can totally feel you. We're 12/7 filer as well. And weve just been told the exact same thing. In their website, it says that 12/7 can already raise an "inquiry for OUTSIDE normal processing" which means we've hit this painful 7th month mark.  Yet, theyre asking us to wait for monday to do that knowing its still office hours today and tmr, thats quite absurd, idk why but i really felt that from the start, 12/7 filers was not the apple of their eye and we're quite neglected. Really, their generic lines doesnt help, i share your frustration. I know our frustrations wouldnt help but i felt like pass this waiting time is too much of a torture, rly. :( I always try to get the hang out of me cz otherwise it really affects me and my fiance whom i know cant do much as well. I thought i had a lot of patience but you know this phase really is testing me in ways! :(

Im really thankful for my fiance at this time cz he's been very understanding and do keeps my sanity when this thing rly gets into my nerves! This journey for sure makes us tight. I hope and pray that all of us get our approvals soon for all of us deserves to share the happiness! :)
