Hello,

I am asking a repeated question regarding supporting documents for i134 form - so apologize in advance but would want to be sure.

Following supporting docs are to be submitted from the beneficiary :

1. Bank letter with date, balance & amount deposited in the last year.

2. Employment letter with joining date, nature of employment, salary n position type.

3.Last three months pay stubs.

4. Last three years tax returns and W2's.

5.Bank statement for 1 year.

My Fiance's salary is 6 figures, so do we need to add stocks/shares information or this would be sufficient?

Thanks in advance !!!

You do not need stocks/shares info if your tax return shows u meet the poverty level
Assets CAN be used if one is trying to explain why maybe their W2/paystubs doesn't have enough money on it.

I have heard people mention gathering pay stubs, multi-year tax returns, W-2's, bank statements, etc. but I am confused on why. I haven't seen any where yet that those are a requirement (of course it probably doesn't hurt having too much). This is what is required as supporting evidence per the instructions for Form I-134 (https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-134instr.pdf). Is there something else that I'm missing that is requiring all the extra support?

Submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:
A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details
regarding the account:
   (1) Date account opened;
   (2) Total amount deposited for the past year; and
   (3) Present balance.
B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:
   (1) Date and nature of employment;
   (2) Salary paid; and
   (3) Whether the position is temporary or permanent.
C. If self-employed:
   (1) Copy of last income tax return filed; or
   (2) Report of commercial rating concern.
D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Yeah I was about to say the thing as you. I've heard multiple people around VJ say that they submitted ONLY C (Copy of last income tax return) and that was sufficient. Is there anyone who can confirm?

The law (Foreign Affairs Manual) states only that the interviewing officer has to be convinced that the K visa application won't become a public charge. It doesn't actually mandate an amount, or how it has to be proven. I think each consulate has their own local vibe of how easily the officers are convinced. Most will refer to the chart for poverty levels. What is acceptable in London may not convince an officer in Manila or Sydney. London will approve with no tax return. They will approve with no I-134 at all from the fiancé if they line up another suitable sponsor. And they will approve with no sponsor/I-134 if the immigrant has a considerable amount of assets.  It would be best to seek out people in your regional forum to see what is generally required at your specific consulate because it is somewhat subjective.

I have been locked out of the old system it just says account locked.  I am thinking the old system is all but gone for anyone they moved to the new one.  If you are not running scans on the new system you are not getting approvals listed i think or at least not all of them.

December Partial Scan   6/27   9:00pm CST

No Updates Today

We're looking at the possibility that the "old" website is being phased out and no longer used. I will keep checking for a bit.

Please keep checking on the new website for your own personal case, watch your mailbox, and I encourage you to sign up for Informed Delivery at USPS.

Another available tool as an indicator of movement is Igor's List found here:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php

The data displayed on Igor's List relies on VisaJourney members updating their timeline after "discovering" their NOA2 notice, so this is a good reason that all of us should complete and update our timelines.   Although the scans of the old site do provide a better picture of the number of petitions approved and/or receiving RFE, Igor's List is still useful to give some insight into forward movement.
