First read the RFE in its entirely. Then gather the information or in your case check the boxes and or what is requested in the RFE. Make copies of the new form and the RFE letter for your records. Return the packet back to USCIS using their instructions. Sorry that you ran into this little set back. Once they have it back it can take another 2-4 weeks to adjudicate your case. If you do not have a blue sheet then return without. NP

Thanks! Yup did that and have sent it back already. Waited almost 7 months so can wait a bit longer, just happy they actually looked at our petition finally :D. Thanks for your response & help.

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker here. Our NOA1 is December 27. I really appreciate everyone's support here while we all (try to) wait patiently.

Seeing all the talk about next steps, I'm feeling pretty comfortable about the affidavit of support, but I'm lacking info on anything about police certification, vaccinations, or medical exams. The guides here on VJ seem to say very little about that. If anyone has a recommendation on where to read more about it, I would be grateful.

The official Brazilian Embassy K1 info page is a good place to review.   Since each Embassy may handle things slightly differently, each Embassy has its own set of instructions.

Also, the South American subforum on Visa Journey may have useful information and possibly answer some questions you may have specific to Brazil.

I'm starting to lose a little hope each day goes by without any news, and it's definitely hurting our relationship, but it's okay. I know we'll get there. All of us. It's just really sad sometimes.

Congratulations to everyone already approved!!

Hang in there please. Let it bring you closer we're all still here rooting for you. It's like one day despair and the next approval!!!please stay strong

Best I can do for you. Find your sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with. This will allow you to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to take at the US Embassy - Brazil.  Sub-forum for Brazil is located here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here:

Uhg, I got the RFE letter today..

New site, old site..no news..

Pertains to my past..DUI and some small misdemeanors from my past that now haunts me..1985-2000

Noise violation(disorderly conduct)

tresspass

and harassment..

one case was no contest turned excused without predigest

but they want me to send them all "Certified records" and

if records not available..Certified Not available..2 week delay or a month ..for I just got back from courts on inquiry..

Uhg..my past comes back to haunt me..

Guess I will be waiting for my records so I can certify and then waiting for the Judgement when I send it in..

I hear all of you. This isn’t easy but we have to remember It will all be worth it. I’m in the same boat, it’s putting a strain on us. I keep praying for you all. I hope you all hear good news soon. Hang in there!

Although I am sure no one really cares , my personal strategy in managing my expectations for when my K1 Petition will be approved is to expect it sometime within 30 days of my submission date first being processed.   This expectation is set based on processing behavior I have seen during the prior 6 months of waiting and watching the other K1 progress threads on VisaJourney.

This is pretty much me. We're just patient. Today is the 180 days mark for us. And is what we call we entered the "red zone". It's Any day now. Based on lots of filers thread and experiences I have seen/read around here since November/October 2017, same pattern over and over. Some left behind, some appoved ahead of time. They all eventually got their NOA2 and proceeded with the rest. It's going to be the same for us eventually. It's what I think. Besides, a 6-7 month wait is nothing compared to the life we will be able to share together when all this is over.

Hi Everyone,

I been checking our status on the old site and it says "error the case can't be recognized" but on the new site it says the application was received and also I got the letter in the mail saying the application was received December 14.

I been checking everyday but nothing. I see people already got approved from the December list.

Does anyone else have this problem or had this problem before?

I had that problem before, old site didn't recognize my case until it was approved last week. I know how you feel, but try to stay positive. I hope you and everybody in this group will have good news soon.

Everyone handles things in there own way.   Some like to get angry, some break out in hives, and some threaten to cancel their petitions, some post multiple times a day with how unfair the process is, and some sit quietly by and only post once they have received their approval.   I have seen all of the above behaviors in the last 6 months of waiting.

My personal NOA1 received date is 12/28.   It appears that 12/20 received its first approval today.  Assuming that USCIS keeps pace and advances one submission day per work day, then I expect that next Monday (July 2nd)  that 12/28 will begin processing.   (USCIS was closed on 12/23, 12/24, and 12/25).   @x_driven_x has been kind to volunteer his time to scan and compile the December progress reports for us, and I am thankful.  (Another source to monitor progress is Igors List)  Once his scans show that 12/28 has been started, I am sure my anxiousness will increase, but I know for a fact that all submissions from 12/28 will not appear immediately.   The reality is approvals and RFE's for 12/28 will likely roll out over a 30 day window.   It happens like that each month I have been watching.   ( I started watching in January.).    I personally will not even think of calling my Senator, Congressman, or even USCIS Tier 1 or 2 until the 30 days has passed.   My belief is that by doing so will only slow things down further for the people also waiting before and after me.   I know my approval will come when it is ready to come.

Here is an analogy that I think most can relate to....   After a long flight, it is like watching luggage come off the Baggage conveyor onto the carousel.   All those waiting for their bags were on the same plane, but someones bags are going to be the last to appear.   We all want our bags to be the first so we can leave the airport and go home, but that is just impossible.

One thing to be thankful for,  the forward progress this month has been pretty linear, so I think we can be thankful for that.   Prior months, especially November, have seen a much more random progression.

Hi, Where did you see a 12/20 approval ? I searched but couldn't find hat post .
