Ok so I was reading some posts in the Nov thread and apparently two people who filed in that month received their NOA2 this week (none were expedited cases)... Can you believe this??!! Only 69 days!!! Hopefully there's an explanation to such anomaly cause honestly I don't really  get it AND I refuse to get my hopes up LOL

Hi all, new here too! We sent our petition on 15th of Dec and got our case number of the 19th of Dec. Anxious and hopeful they will speed up the process.

We sent a letter explaining how me met, some pictures, copy of my passaport with stamps and copy of flight tickets. I hope that will be enough.

That all depends on how many pictures you have, how well thought the letter was.

For example, I had over 100 pictures and both I and my fiance had separate letters written. On top of that, I had over 500 pages of just facebook and viber messages.

:o

We sent maybe 9 pictures, one letter and we were able to visit each other almost every month since we’ve met (1,5year), so a bunch of stamps and tickets. I didn’t send more pics because I read somewhere I shouldn’t. Honestly I don’t remember where, I hope it is enough...I did not send personal conversations either :s

We go through the process with rapid visa and they clearly state do not send more than 5-6 pictures. You will be fine! Personal conversations are not required at this stage.

I sort of have to disagree. A lawyer told me they want proof so the more you do, the easier it will be for the case worker to approve you. On top of that, he told me to make a cover page on what is included in the package

Pictures are secondary evidence (proof) without boarding passes and passport stamps or any other hard evidence, they mean nothing.

@Scsc

The number of pictures can be 4-10 or more but the bigger your file the more possibility of taking time to adjudicate.

the pictures are there to support your hard evidences.

on another note, I've seen lots of lawyers ruin cases here...

I only was talking about the pictures not the rest of the package.

I’m sure your lawyer gave you the right instructions!

Well yeah, obviously you need passport stamps and boarding passes.

I'm actually saying this by experience from my brother. He did it with a lawyer in 2016 and it took him a month and a half to get the approval.

How long The approval takes has nothing to do with that though (of course rfe etc is a different issue), there was no backlog in 2016, there's backlog now.
