Hello. I am new to this website and have submitted a K-1 visa application. Is this chart for all types of visas or just specifically the K-1? Thanks for your time.

Hi welcome! These are K1 approvals and updates for December 2017

WE JUST GOT APPROVED! December 12th, wooohoooooo

This is great news, it's also another confirmation they aren't always updated the old site... I have 0 Decemebr 12th approvals in my logs, and only 1 from the 11th and one from the 13th.

My guess is we will see more and more people with updates that aren't updated on "the old" website. It's definately good to see approvals slowly moving forward. It will probably take until the end of July for them to mostly finish the month though.

These last two weeks of this month should get more interesting though, I think they'll pick up speed on December cases.

Hello fellow VJers! I have been lurking around this thread for awhile and I have finally decided to join in. I am also a December filer. 😊 quick question, when I update my timeline do I put the day uscis received my case which is 12-26 or do I put the notice date which is 12-29. Thanks

Hey Lilyrose, welcome!! You are exactly the same dates as Jake and I. For our timeline, we put the 12/29 notice date.

Our timeline (as will yours) shows adjudication for NOA2 13-19th July. However, I’m hoping that it may be stretched a further 7 days that what the reality is. Hoping 3rd July +

Thanks very much! You seem very nice and informative. Can I ask you a question, and fellow VJers can chip in. My fiancee and I are related and I live in Texas and he is from Lebanon. Do you have any idea of the possibilities of my case getting approved? I would appreciate everyone's input.

Your welcome!

To to be honest, I couldn’t answer that. It may be helpful to other VJ members to state how you are actually related as that can be useful to them giving you feedback. For example, is he your first cousin?

Sorry, I can’t help as I don’t know the answer to that one.

You say you are related but you don't say how. If he/she is a first cousin to you then in Texas it a criminal offense to marry. So if that is your case then yes you will have problems. Gives a little more information so I can feel confident that I have answered your question.

Here on VJ, we go by the received date as thats what the USCIS is following as well.

Yes we are first cousins. If that’s the case as you have suggested, does that mean I am more than likely to get denied?

In Texas, you can't marry your cousin in the state and have it recognized as legal in Texas. However, you can marry your first cousin in another state and have the marriage recognized as legal and valid in Texas. I am not familiar with your question but only on my little research that I have done.

You would be better served if you state your question with details in the "General Forum" here on VJ for others who are more familiar with how USCIS handles this issue. Also, you may find information here https://www.cousincouples.com/

When you get an answer could you update us to what was said. Thanks.

I sent in my application to the USCIS and noticed that the attorney made a mistake in the gender column for my fiancé and checked “male” instead of “female.” Clearly from the evidence through the pictures that I sent with the application, my fiancé is a female while I am a male. So would something like this cause a delay in our process? What is the best thing to do to solve this problem if necessary?
