My NOA1 is 12/18. If I receive my NOA 2 by mid-July, I would be very happy with a November entry. The embassy in Uganda doesn't process K-1 visa's so we have to go through Kenya. From everything I've heard and read, it is extremely challenging to schedule the interview and it can take months of daily checking the website to see if an appointment opens. And if one does, it's for another couple months down the road. I'm really praying that my NOA2 gets approved in the first wave of the month because I know the next steps will take much longer than other folks.

The wait is so hard but in the end it'll be worth it.

Lets hope and pray things get a little better as time goes by.

Hey guys 😊

OMG WE GOT APPROVED today!!!! 🎉🎉

Old site - received 1st Dec, Noa1 6th Dec 2017

New site - submitted 4th Dec, received 5th Dec 2017

Noa2 - 14th June 2018 (App/Old Website updated, still received on New Website)

No text or email notification received.

It’s been a while since I started limiting myself in checking (kinda hard lol 😂) have to keep reminding myself to relax as it will come.

I was about to sleep, as usual looking at my phone, I refreshed the app still received, did a mini scan around my wac number just to look around 👀 then saw another case ahead of mine got approved then a familiar case number (my wac) which is also approved, I thought I was dreaming 🤪 !!!! I did refreshed my saved case number then that’s when I saw we were approved!!!! Then to make sure checked old and new website.

Thank you everyone to your support! ♥️

Good luck and may you get your approval soon! 🙏

wow congrats! can i ask what is the old website and the new?

Hi everyone,

I am currently on day 183 (submitted Dec 14). Is everyone able to log in on the old and new websites with their receipt number? My number is only valid on the new website. It does not work on the old website or any of the apps. it is extremely frustrating and was just wondering if anyone is in the same boat.

I'm December 14th in the new website too, and I still can't get in the old website (only in the new one). Apparently all of us that are in that date are having the same problem, it's really weird!

Everyone seems to be concerned about being on the "old" and the "new" websites. As I see it, both give you the same information, just maybe a delay of a day or so apart. In my opinion, this is just another item that will add to your stress level.  I'm just saying.

Calling back and forth to USCIS or NVC during what is normal processing times currently can add to the stress. I'd recommend waiting and let the process work for you. Here is a tool to see others from your country and see where they are in the process especially those who are near your submit dates.

Go to the top blue ribbon and select "portals" and then along the left column scroll down to the last section titled "VJ (your country name) timelines. Select K-1 and out populates a chart with all those from your country and you can then see where you are in comparison to others.

Actually it doesn’t tell you the same information as sometimes only old website updates and sometime only new one. Plus there are some cases in December that have an error on old website but work on the new one. And Sometimes even the same person can receive rfe update on both sites but after all approval only on one of them.

Several December filers have the 'problem' that their number doesnt show up on the old website and thus in the scans. I agree with @Greenbaum, no need to worry yourself unnecessary. If they both work, check both. If not, check the one that does. And don't forget to keep an eye on your physical mailbox!

I think they are processing so many cases on the new system now that the scans are all but obsolete. In my opinion the only value the scans have right now is showing us on what date they are processing.

If it were up to me I wish they would assign cases in the order they were received. Even if my wait was longer. That way some people are not waiting 230 days while random November mid filers were getting approvals in 150 days. A few weeks apart is understandable but 3 months apart is chaos even for the US government. And there's no rhyme or reason. Some simple cases take longer or get RFEs and some complex ones get approved early with no RFE even the person admitted he may have submitted something wrong or partially complete

For real!!!!

Examine that for a bit. So thousands of applications are being receive by USCIS everyday. To keep the files moving they must be distributed to a "clerk" who will begin the arduous task of getting all the background checks on both of the K-1 applicants. So they check the background for country X (for couple X) which has a less than desirable history of "problems" within the world. There file will need additional fact finding inquiry's.  So while waiting for Department XYZ to respond on Couple X's file said "clerk" picks up the next file (couple Z) and begins the task of the background check. Country Z is a much more "friendlier" neighbor to the world and their file is cleared before the other couples.

I hope you are still with me. Now to satisfy your model Couple Z would have to wait for Couple X to finish before they would get there case adjudicated to finality. I'm not sure that system is anymore efficient or equitable. Again, just my opinion. Am I wrong in my view?

It is important to check both new and old

I got my approval on June 1 on the new website but still shows received on the old one.
