What's the length of time you guys are predicting for yourselves between NOA2 and arrival in the US? Of course it all depends on actual approval dates and flights and whatever else, but I'm curious as to what everyone's individual guesstimates are! :)

My NOA1 is 12/18. If I receive my NOA 2 by mid-July, I would be very happy with a November entry. The embassy in Uganda doesn't process K-1 visa's so we have to go through Kenya. From everything I've heard and read, it is extremely challenging to schedule the interview and it can take months of daily checking the website to see if an appointment opens. And if one does, it's for another couple months down the road. I'm really praying that my NOA2 gets approved in the first wave of the month because I know the next steps will take much longer than other folks.

The wait is so hard but in the end it'll be worth it.

Lets get past december 8th. It looks like there is a clog or something on that date because theres a bunch of approvals on that date and nothing after that. The way the process is absolutely bizaare.

Be happy they don’t stick to just one day at a time. Ur wait would b much longer.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

You're welcome!! Now you have to wait until your case goes to the Embassy. In the meantime, you can join the June NOA2 group, so you guys can be in the same page on what to do next, etc.

If it were up to me I wish they would assign cases in the order they were received. Even if my wait was longer. That way some people are not waiting 230 days while random November mid filers were getting approvals in 150 days. A few weeks apart is understandable but 3 months apart is chaos even for the US government. And there's no rhyme or reason. Some simple cases take longer or get RFEs and some complex ones get approved early with no RFE even the person admitted he may have submitted something wrong or partially complete

IF THEY didn’t them in order, they would still be on sept of 2017. There a reason why they do what they do. No one can explain it.

Best guess is, they scan cases checking where from and how complicated. Once find the easy ones process them. Countries that are under the territory list will be looked at most carefully. People with extensive back grounds will be check throughly.

Imo they look for mistakes only. Looking for away to send a rfe and push case off. If on initial scan they don’t see anything that jumps out at them, they go through it normally and do what needs to be done.

Thats an interesting theory but doesnt explain how complicated cases can get done over simple ones and RFEs asking for proof of meetings despite photos plane tickets receipts and tons of information. I accept that there will be a few ones left behind each month because of factors like complicated applications but the ones being left behind dont seem to follow the patterns you are describing

Where do you find that scan?

All data is taken from what we refer to here as the "old" website. Anyone can search for a case number. I basically do that, for every single case in the month, and then put everything together in a spreadsheet to post it up. You can download a phone app called 'Case Tracker' that will allow you to search cases as well, but in a slightly different format that what I post.

Hi everyone,

I am currently on day 183 (submitted Dec 14). Is everyone able to log in on the old and new websites with their receipt number? My number is only valid on the new website. It does not work on the old website or any of the apps. it is extremely frustrating and was just wondering if anyone is in the same boat.
