what is the i-864 then?

During the visa interview, you will be required to present evidence to the consular officer that you will not become a public charge in the United States. You may present evidence that you are able to financially support yourself or that your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is able to provide support. Most Embassy's request that a Form I-134, Affidavit of Support be submitted by the U.S. citizen fiancé(e). If you entertain a co-sponsor they will submit Form I-1864.

The U.S. citizen fiancé(e) will need to submit Form I-864 to USCIS with the application for adjustment of status (referred to as AOS) to that of legal permanent resident (identified by LPR) following the marriage.

Excessive checking will get you blocked for 24 hours. The thinking is you are jamming up the system so others will have a difficult time accessing their record.

Dose anyone know the difference in the i864 n the i134 n wich one should be filed

I-134 is submitted at the Embassy interview. The I-864 is used for the Adjustment of Status (AOS) once you are married you will submit that as part of your package.

I see you are processing in the Philippines for your visa. I just wanted to give you a little help on some items you may or may not be aware of.

There is a sub-forum for the Philippines that is dedicated in helping those who have questions specifically for the Philippines. Many of us there have gone through the process and can answer your questions. Ppl that are here in this thread come from many different country's and may or may not have the correct answer for the process for USEM.

Also, Hank who is a contributor over in the PI website has put together a step by step website for all the things you will need to do to satisfy your interview at USEM. The information is free to use.

Good luck with your journey.

Does anyone else have validation error on old site but received on new site?

I'm not completely up to date on the "new" vs. "old" site. Why is it important that both sites need to say the same thing on the same day? Can someone enlighten me as I am a bit confused. I would think that if it has updated with your answer on one of the sites that you would just move on with your process but I maybe wrong. What say you.

The won't necessarily both update. Some of us can see our case in both and some can only see in one or the other. Believe me which ever one tells me I'm approved I'm going with it!!!!!!

It doesn’t matter at all. (It does not even have the same purpose anyway new site just gives submitted date for inquiries)

Hey guys, I have two questions:

1. How long does it take currently from NOA2 to Sending package to embassy?

2. I know I can’t work for American employer while waiting for work permit. But is it possible to work for an employer from my country until I’ll have work permit granted? I mean like, working remotely for my current company while being in the US and then when I’ll get work permit I’ll quit and start looking for a job in the US. Is it legal or is it something like a grey zone?

Thanks for any help fellow applicants😊
