Just curious, so i know the vj timeline is just an estimate, but let's say the end date stated in your timeline comes and you still don't get the noa2, what should be done?? is it usual to do a follow up?

You have to go by USCIS processing dates to determine when to follow up not VJ. Here is where you check that date: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Right now, that case inquiry date is November 6th, and it moves about 1 day each day...  so techincally no inquiries should be submitted that come after November 6th.  However, if they start processing January cases, I personally think that's a good time to submit an inquiry anyway.

I also recommend submitting the inquiry at that time to your congressman / senator... but you have to wait a bit, do it too early and they will just tell you they cannot help you and check back in 30-60 days.

For example, my Received Date is 11/14 and I'm at 204 days, technically still within their 5-7 month estimate. The inquiry date has not yet passed, but now that they've started processing December cases, I asked my senator to inquire on my behalf.
