divorce after filling jointly while I-751 is pending

Does it matter who files for divorce (my spouse or me)?

 

Do reason for divorce matter?

 

What happens if the divorce is filed too late and 87 days expire before I get the final divorce decree?

 

If I know that my marriage will end in divorce and most likely before adjudication, should I refile I-751 with the waiver right away when the divorce is initiated or should I wait until the last moment hoping to receive my GC from my joint filling?

 

Should I get divorced right now when I have my residency extension for a year or should I try to work things out and hope to stay married until adjudication risking to get divorced right before adjudication?
