So, I received a letter from USCIS  it was an I-797 Notice of actions approval notice, what does this mean does it mean I'm a permanent resident? I thought there was an interview I would have had to go through?

I feel so happy, I won't lie, I had a cry of joy.
But I still feel so confused.

It says; the above application has been approved.  prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometric processing ( i already did that back in may) Please do not take any action at this time if you are required to report for this processing you will receive another notice advising you of the date, time and location to appear
If you have not received your permanent resident card or the above notice to appear for biometric processing within 90 days, please call this office at the number listed below.

Same with mine but mine said welcome to the United States of America.  But same information because I came with k1 visa also. I think they will send you a welcome letter also. Did you check your stays on the Uscis website? Mine has not updated.

I just called them asking " does this mean I'm going to get my green card and I'm a permanent resident?" and she replied "Yes it does ma'am, Congratulation and welcome to the united states"   I'm just sobbing right now in joy.

Okay so I'm right on track.  I have not had time to rejoice over my approval. Yesterday was exactly 1 year I submitted my AOS.  Congratulations to us both

I received the same letter, but 3 days after the interview. I can't not believe it!! I did the biometrics during the interview, he also took my picture and my signature, and now I don't know what to expect, if I going to receive the green card or I have to wait for the appointment for biometrics, knowing that can take one or three more months. Did anyone have the same problem ? My advice for the people that still don't have the interview,  when the uscis office ask at the end if you have any questions, make sure to double check that the fingerprinting is right.

Did any of you guys receive the card yet? I got the same letter on the 12th, and It was dated the 8th. No update on the website yet. Not sure how long does it take to get the actual card.

I received the card 4 days after I received the approval notifications by post. It was just so fast. Congratulations
