The same reason it is needed with a driver’s license.  Interstate travel.

Sounds logical.   To use an analogy Marriage in one State is recognised in another.   Drivers Licenses have been mentioned.

Inversely, if the standards for Drivers Licenses in California do not meet the standards in North Carolina , then the residents of North Carolina are being subjected to California Laws.

I don't see it happening either, military commanders don't ever want to give up their perceived base dictatorships, but it is on my dream sheet of things I would like to see within this new law.  The one hope I have is that the SECDEF would eventually step in and issue an overall common sense directive to allow it.

04/08/2015 - Wifey better be studying her butt off for the citizenship test!

07/08/2015 - Wifey was studying her butt off and passed the test easily. Oath ceremony completed on same day! We are done with our journey!
