Thank you everyone! I had my interview today and I was approved. I just checked CEAC and it says "Administrative Processing" . Is this common?

Lol. (You should probably follow your "NOA2 to NVC" month thread)

Yes. It means they are processing your Visa. It HAS TO SAY "Administrative Processing" at some point.

PS why do you never get called out for posting in this thread about things not related to consulate reviews? I'm sure I've been called out everytime. By you even.

Since you had your interview, what kind of criminal record check did they require? Did they ask for your fingerprints?

I had actually gotten the fingerprint one done in Feburary so I was covered . They did not ask for anything additional . It cost me ~$70 to get the fingerprint one from RCMP

Did you get the one that’s under the privacy act that is not certified, but you do the fingerprints etc?

So I got my criminal check done in Feb of this year. Cost  was ~$70 and i went to the commisonaires to get it done. It looks like this . I am not sure what the privacy act is . they accepted my criminal check without any questions.

There is already a thread or two about criminal records checks.

Yes. You are to keep it in a safe place just incase USCIS loses your medical documents by the time you apply for AOS. Then you will have at least a copy of that and you will only have to get the physical and blood work done by the civil surgeon in the US to complete the I693 instead of the costly XRay too. Do not give it to the BP officer at POE! It's for your records.

So I was thinking more about this. I reviewed the I693 instructions (link here) and it says if you were a K-1 "You are not required to have another medical examination as long as you file your Form I-485 within one year of an overseas medical examination; and (a) The panel physician did not find a class A medical condition during your overseas examination; or (b) The panel physician did find a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility, and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver."

I take that as we only submit the Vaccination form ((DS 3025)) when filing the i485 for AoS, correct? They took my blood work and physical at the medical in Montreal.

Yes. Exactly. Your medical (blood work results, physical results and XRay results) will get sent to USCIS after your POE. You only submit a COPY of the DS3025 Vaccination record for AOS. If they lost all of you records though you will have to follow the procedure as outlined in my other comment.

You should probably find the DS3025 thread instead of posting in this medical/consulate thread though. I'm done responding here as I dont want to get reported.

Just letting fellow VJ members who haven’t had their medical yet and it is upcoming.  I had my medical today.  The name of the company is horizon occupational health solutions and is located on the the 22nd floor.  Use the elevators to your left as soon as you enter through the doors.

Make sure you have all your paperwork, 5 passport size photos, immunization records, for any Canadian health care students and/or workers who had blood work done for hepatitis, varicella etc. recently or in the past bring that too!  and medication history record from your pharmacy.

I had arrived an hour early and I was surprised they took me in earlier.  My original appt was for 11:20 am.  I arrived at 10AM and was out of there at 11:45 am.

I had had my chest X-ray done first, (TB check), then lab (syphillis check), I didn’t need any additional immunization since I was up to date, then urine check (gonorrhoea check) and then my check up with the Dr.  FYI I do not have a history of any of those it’s just standard check.  So if you ever had those in the past... let them know ? Haha.

When I met with the Dr. She was super nice, and English hehe.  I was in the office for her to go over the questionnaire I filled out at the beginning.  She then got me to change in a gown, listened to my chest, did a reflex check, then abdominal check.  I was in and out in 25 mins.

Great office! Super friendly staff!  The cost of the medical was $444 to be exact.  They will email me once the results are ready.  Hope this helps everyone else.  Good luck to us!

Hi everyone,

I had my interview on Sep 19th, Wed and my visa was approved! I just checked the CEAC website and it says "Issued". I live in BC and I am just wondering how long it takes to get my passport back? I know some people said they got it the next day or within 3 days. However I am freaking out because i just noticed Canada Post is going on Strike on Sep 26 ( next wednesday). I am hoping to get my passport back before the strike.. Is there any way we can track the delivery status? or will i have to wait till they send me an email regarding the tracking number?

Thanks a bunch! :)

You can track it on CanadaPost.

1. Sign into ais.usvisa-info.com (where you registered for the interview).

2. The page where it lists the date and time of your appointment will also show where you signed up to have it delivered.

3. Click on the link connected to the delivery section (view map) and it will bring you to a detail page that has your CanadaPost tracking number.

4. Sign up for notifications with CanadaPost and they'll tell you when it gets delivered and you can go pick it up (presuming you didnt pay extra and had it sent to the post office for pickup).

5. Sprint to the post office when you get the notification.

My interview was August 1st. I got the notification that it had arrived in Victoria, BC at 11:50am on Aug 3rd. I had it in hand by 12:10pm. So roughly 2 business days.

It wont let me upload a screen shot of what I'm trying to show you. If you're interested PM me and maybe we can connect via email or something and I'll send them to you.
