Okay this thread is for REVIEWS not process questions.

Did the beneficiary not sign up on the USCIS website for updates? I did.  I knew about NOA2 before my husband did.  I called the NVC.  I sent them everything. I did ALL the leg work beyond mailing the I-130.  Be proactive. There's lots of threads on the k1 process at Montreal.

Hi! I was wondering if you could share a bit about what to expect at the medical? I have mine next week and NikLR has hers soon too. We are both going to Medisys in Montreal. Or if you already posted that info, can you send us a link? Thanks😁

To start.

Use the search  guys ;)

Thanks for this! I had read a few of these posts but others were new. Were you with other people in the room? I read this part just now . It seems weird to have to do this test with other people....🤔

"got undressed from the waste up and put a gown on. There were a total of 3 people doing this test at the same time. There were change rooms side by side which me (female), another female and a male all got undressed. I have to admit I was surprised they would do the exam with mixed genders. The guy who was there looked like he could be fun and I could've cared less if he got a peek. But not everyone would be thrilled about that"

You're in a change room and come out in a medical gown for the xray.  You aren't getting dressed and undressed with others in open view.

We received NOA2 on 04/09/18 and received Packet 3 on 05/25/18...but there are two steps after NOA2 before you receive Packet 3 & 4. Your case needs to be forwarded to the National Visa Centre from USCIS and you need to be assigned a case #. I would start calling the National Visa Centre one week after receiving NOA2. Their phone # is 1-603-334-0700. You tell them you're calling to see if you have a case # yet. Give them your USCIS case # (WAC) Once they finally receive your case and give you a case #, they will then forward your case to the  Montreal Consulate. Once the Montreal Consulate has your file, you can start sending them Packet 3 by email. I actually sent packet 3 to the Montreal Consulate before they asked me to. They sent packet 3 by email to my fiancee (petitioner) 2.5 weeks after they received our file, and he forwarded it to me. They responded to me with Packet 4 to the Packet 3 I had sent them 3 days earlier. It's very confusing. It seems like they send Packet 3 to the petitioner by email and the beneficiary by snail mail. My recommendation is once the Montreal Consulate has your file, just start emailing Packet 3 twice a week until you get a response back with Packet 4. Sorry for such a long response but I wanted to give the correct info! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!! I'm settling down to watch the newest season of 90day fiance on TLC lol. In some strange way, it calms me down. I just look at these couples and think... "How did they manage to get a K1?! How???!??!?" Lol.

I have never watched it! lol but every time I tell someone the process, they say...”Ohh like the show?” I say...yeah like the show, but not like the show! 😂

Thank you very much for listing out the steps and date. this is makes it easy!

Also, have any of you visited your fiances in the US as a visitor after the DS-160 was filled? Is there any trouble in doing so?

I haven't...but people do. It's wise to get a letter from your work stating that you will be returning, or bringing some other kind of evidence that shows you are planning on returning to Canada. We're playing it safe and waiting until this process is over before I go to the US. My fiancee came her for our last visit.

On the DS160 you must input all of the beneficiary's entries into the US. In knowing that, I would say that if you entered the US after you submitted the DS160, the info on it would be outdated and may cause you problems at the interview.

I wouldn't risk travelling to the US after you have confirmed that travel information on the DS160.

It's fine.  You just let them know at interview.
