I had my interview in Montreal today and things went wrong.

The lady who interviewed me said I was totally approvable (documents were great and the interview went well), but the person who adjudicated my petition forgot to ‘tick a box’ on the petition and legally she cannot issue me the visa until that gets rectified, so she has to send the petition back down to California.

I had to fly all the way out from British Columbia just so they could tell me this??

She encouraged me to write the Consulate regularly for updates, and she labelled my case “extremely urgent” and she hopes USCIS will have it done pronto.

Has this his ever happened to anyone else? What the fudge???? Talk about bad luck.

Oh wow. Im so sorry to hear that. Just call uscis on monday and get updates every day. That’s a total bummer.  I will call them like every freaking hour if i could. You’re so close. Other than the bump, how Was your interview?

Hi guys! So today, I logged into the visa appointment website to book an interview in Montreal .... And saw a message that read no appointments available currently for Mtl, check back in a couple days....um, is this normal? I want to book my interview so badly so I can figure out when to do the medical .... I have Packet3 and Packet4. Any thoughts? Does anyone have the Montreal schedule? Would I have better luck calling?

Yep, that's normal.. just keep checking! As far as I can tell, they generally do every Wednesday, but that gets switched up sometimes. I haven't had any luck calling them myself.

How long between case # at NVC and packet 3? My fiance seems to think I'll be able to have my visa in hand by the end of the month... I don't have Packet3 yet so I'm a little doubtful...🤔

How long did everyone have to wait to book the interview? I received a letter telling me I'm now ready to book my interview but when I go online there are no appointments available 😐 I've been checking all day everyday for a couple days now and I haven't seen a single opening for Montreal😳 What has everyone else's experience been like? Is there a time of day I should be checking?

Montreal just opened up appointments!!! I just booked mine!! July 11!!!!!! I had an awful time though. That was probably the most frustrating thing I've ever done. Their payment system does NOT work properly!! But, after giving up after an hour of their system telling me they couldn't process my payment, I tried once more and it finally went through!!!

Thank you. What other feedback? It said July 11th was the earliest appointment so I took it. There was also July 18 & 25. Yes, only Wednesdays. I didn't scroll further, I just chose July 11.

No "other" feedback other than dates of availability. Thank you! Glad we haven't hit August yet is all.

Will you try to reschedule earlier or sit tight?

No, I think I'll keep this appointment. I have A LOT to do to prepare for the big move, so July 11 is ok with me! :)
