Hi guys! Forgive me if this has already been answered but I just wanted to double check and make sure the answer I get is the most up-to-date. I just received my case# from NVC. I called them and they gave it to me over the phone. They said they would send an email to myself and my fiance. What is the next step? I can file my DS160 now right? Or do I have to wait to hear something from Montreal Consulate first?

You can file ds-160. You can check your case number updates on ceac.Use the immigrant visa instead of Nonimmigrant.

And start gathering your packet 3 checklist. Then wait till you receive an email from Montreal asking for the packet 3 then send it

Hello,

I have immigrant visa appointment at Montreal Embassy next month and need to do a Medical test now. I didn't go through any vaccination in Canada and don't have a record from back home either. I understand I've to go to any doctor and get all the vaccinations and then go to the official medical centre in Toronto. Curious on how much did you pay for all the vaccinations ( 18-64) range.

If you get them done at a health clinic or your family doctor they should all be free (unless you need the chicken pox one I think that one costs extra). If you end up getting them done during your medical exam I think they charge you quite a bit for them! I'm in the same predicament, I had an allergic reaction as a baby to my vaccines and haven't had any since but my mom has no records of any of this. I tried to get them done at the health unit but the nurse refused to do them because of my allergic reaction. So I'm hoping I don't get screwed at the medical exam and have to pay out the ### for them!

I had my TDaP and MMR boosters done at a vaccination clinic one week before my medical. They said because it was for US immigration purposes the Canadian government couldn’t pay for it, so I ended up shelling out $85.00.

Don't tell them that! Just say you weren't sure if you still have immunity! LOL  That's why I had my titres done for free from the GP, I can prove I don't have immunity so I needed the vaccine!

It gives you the times in whatever time zone you're in, it's not the best system. We ran into multiple issues because of this, so when you're scheduling you basically have to translate the appt times into EST or whatever Toronto is in

I've received instructions via email with my interview dates & have been asked to follow the instructions on their website. I got it through EB-1A (self-petition).  I believe I've to go to the following website and pre-register for the courier & if I need to reschedule the appointment.  I, however, can't find any option to reschedule but just to schedule a new appointment.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/

Can you please help ?

Hi guys! I received my case# from NVC last week. I'm wondering... What's the advantage of submitting the ds160 right away (before being prompted to)?  Does it speed things up or complicate things? From what I understand, it seems Montreal doesn't like if you skip ahead and do things before they say so (sending packet 3). Did I get this right?

Nothing really matters if you do it now. Just get it out of your way. But packet 3 you need to wait.

How long between case # at NVC and packet 3? My fiance seems to think I'll be able to have my visa in hand by the end of the month... I don't have Packet3 yet so I'm a little doubtful...🤔

Our case number was assigned March 2nd and we didn't get packet 3 until April 25th, I don't think our case was the norm because I've seen so many others on this forum get packet 3 within a week or two of their case number. So hopefully you won't be unlucky like me!
