We are on week 2 of waiting for packet 3. It’s frustrating honestly. I do want everything ti be done and hopefully get a spot on May. I’m really tempted to send the p3 again.

I ended up waiting 3 and a half weeks for the Consulate to send me packet three. It was driving me crazy.

We are on day 37 of waiting. Granted they did inquire on day 25 about my son because I did not put him on the DS160 (he is a dual citizen already with a US passport) so they've said they've passed that information along to whoever is handling our case and they'll contact us with further instructions..... Super frustrating!

I'm part of another forum/thread on VJ and some ppl have stated they received their NVC# 2-3 days after NVC receives it. Does this hold true for Montreal?

I waited 26 days between NOA2 and NVC#.

Update, my fiance (the petitioner) received Packet 3 in the mail today....  So frustrating. Our case status changed to Ready on March 20th and I emailed Packet 3 once a week until they finally emailed us on April 13th and said they needed proof our son was a US citizen (he was born in Canada and has always lived here but we got his consular birth abroad stuff done right away after he was born so he has a social security number and we just got his US passport last month). So we emailed them the information they needed and then they replied on April 18th saying they would pass the information along to whoever was taking care of our case... The Packet 3 is dated April 19th so I'm just like confused about why I need to send packet 3 again when they clearly already have it..... Fingers crossed we will finally get Packet 4 before the week is over!!!

Anyone here doing the interview on May?

All Wednesdays of June, I guess they've gone back to the Wednesday-only thing

Hello everyone. Had a question for you all. Have any of you visited your fiancé in the US after NOA2 but before the interview? Did you run into any troubles entering?

I've gone to visit a couple of times now, just short stays (3-5 days at a time) and I haven't ran into any problems. I always make sure that I bring my binder with copies of all my paperwork (I129F application, NAO2, etc...) just in case they decide to give me a hard time. When they ask what the reason for my visit is I just say that I'm going to visit my boyfriend for a couple of days. Sometimes they ask when I'm coming back, or what I do for work, etc... I never bring up the application and they've never asked about it yet. I do drive so i don't know if it would be different it you're flying. Hope that helps :)

Thank you for that detailed reply. It really helps. Glad to know they can still visit :)

Ever since I got my NOA2 I've had a very difficult time visiting my fiance. We live about 150km away in towns that are close to the border, but ever since I got my NOA2 I have been unable to cross the border without being pulled into secondary inspection. They even searched my car last time. I have been crossing the border a LOT since I met my fiance because we live so close and I even have a Nexus card. I have been brought to secondary inspection after showing the guard my NOA2, interview date, return ticket (if I'm traveling by sea), and a letter from my employer. Who knows, maybe I have been flagged by a border guard at some point. They can tell I have a pending K1 visa on their screen whenever I present my passport or Nexus card. I visit the USA about 3-4 times per month for a few days at a time, so that's quite a bit.

However even though I have been interrogated every time I try to cross after I received my NOA2, I haven't been denied entry yet.  But now whenever I try, I dread it, even with proper documentation. It's been quite a hassle actually.
