Just wondering if someone else have this issue . I am trying to help my Family F3 complete their file, their PD is NOV 2005. They are Indian born and now are Italian citizen. I have sent the Passport  Police Certificate twice but NVC is not accepting it. My family said the document they sent is the accurate document. I am trying to see if someone can share an example for Italian PCC please so I can figure out if they have the correct document.

Are they sending in a Police Certificate from India or Italy? They need to send one from India (Country of Birth) with a translation from a certified Translator. Hope that answers your question.

E did send them a police Certificate from India. They are asking for Passport Police Certificate. Since they hold Italian passport shouldn't that be from Italy? They don't know carry Indian passport anymore. Does anyone know  where( what government agency)  to got to get  a Passport Police certificate in Italy?

I am an Italian citizen and I just sponsored my mom (IR-5).

There is no such thing as a passport police certificate.

My mom (who lived in Italy her whole life) had to get two different police certificates: Certificato dei carichi pendenti (basically, you are not involved in any Court proceedings), and certificato generale del casellario giudiziale (your rap sheet, hopefully empty).

They are both easily obtainable at any Procura della Repubblica (located in any town with a Republic courthouse), it takes three days, unless you want to pay extra for expedited.

If your relative is applying at an Italian Consulate, then you don't even need a translation.

I just called NVC and learn the Passport Police Certificate is required for Indian passport holders since my cousin requested to her interview in India (cause one of her kid is still living in India) the System automatically thinks they are required this Document. NVC said just to sent a written statement explaining  why they are unable to obtain this document would complete their file.

  Thanks for replaying!!!

If they got Italian citizenship, I assume they lived in Italy for some time.

They will need the Italian police certificates too, And they will have to be translated into English since they are interviewing in India.

yes.and yes we have already sent the two required certificates ( Certificato dei carichi pendent and certificato generale del casellario giudiziale).

it was just system error cause they Indian born and requested to have their interview in India so the system was asking or required documents for Indian passport holder. I am sending in notarized letter along with copy or their canceled Indian passport and copy their Italian passport. Fingers crossed.
