i have same problem ,applyed march 2015,and soon almost three three years,i dont know what to do.  i spoke with two congressman,and Omsud,three times infopass,every months call to uscis ,they dont say anything new, im from russia

i did it.congresman.ombudsman and info pass.Wait wait.ur case in security department.and they dont know when done

no.simple case. my wife she got 2years ago her green card

That very well could be the issue right there. I know that not all countries are approached equally with adjustment.

Okay so your wife got a green card 2 years ago?  So she's not a US citizen, she's an LPR? 

 

How did you enter the USA?  How did your wife get her green card?

 

As far as I understand it you had no basis to adjust your status as spouses of legal permanent residents (aka LPR or Green card holders) cannot immediately adjust status.  You have to wait for your priority date to become current.  Also any time you've spent in the USA waiting, will be marked against you.

both  we came to usa by visa...we granted,our case approved.everything normal.only one thing wrong,its three years wait for green card..every year i apply for travel document for one year i-131/

I'm still not seeing what the basis of both of your arriving on a J1 and being able to adjust status is?  It's not a dual intent visa.
