Visa fee receipt

Hi guys!

 

I have an interview for a J1 visa in 2 days. I was wondering about the visa fee receipt that you have to present, that you payed the non-refundable 160 USD visa fee. 

When I payed for it I did not get a receipt, I payed the same time as I was booking the interview. Instead I got the interview appointment letter, and in there it says that I payed the fee.

 

Do I still need a receipt for the fee or is the appointment letter enough?

i wondered the same thing and i sent a request and was told they don't do receipts / it is in the computer

Ah okay, so I just bring the appointment letter then?

yes, i assume you paid by checking account so easy to prove
