Hi, don't know if I should be in this thread or the new January 2018. I mailed it Dec 27th to Chicago. They received it at 4pm Dec 28th. No notification or check cashed as yet. Do they cash the check before you get the notification that it was received? Is the priority date when they receive it or would they put another date on the receipt notice. Am I considered Dec or Jan?

You're welcome here, you are very much a December filer. They cashed my check yesterday and I just got both text and email notification so my guess is it depends

Thanks. I just got the email and text about 15 mins ago. I was so excited screamed out at work..lol. It was routed to Texas just have to wait for the notice in the mail

   I submitted on 12/23/2017. Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation through email and text on 1/3/2018. It said my case I will my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Potomac Service Center for processing and that I will receive official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) through mail withing 7-10 days. Is this accepted confirmation considered NOA1 ?

Hello everyone, 

I sent my package in Dec 26, it was delivered in Dec 28, check cashed Jan 03. I think I forgot to include the optional form for text and email updates, so no email or text updates were received. I sent them to Arizona address. 
What are the next steps? Does the fact that the check is cashed mean our application passed the initial screening and accepted?
