Moscow Embassy Interview Scheduling

Re-posting to this forum at the advice of another member:

 

We recently completed and submitted the DS-160, as well as paying the fee for processing.  On the ustraveldocs site, after going through the process to try and schedule the interview, the status is that "Your request for an interview has been received and is being reviewed.  You will be notified by email when you can schedule your appointment."  

 

Has anyone been through this process recently at the Moscow Embassy to shed some light on how long it may be before we can schedule a solid interview date?

Don't know if you have interview date yet.  We went through same process.  Keep checking the web site - we waited 2 weeks until, suddenly, I checked the website one morning (West coast US time) and interviews were available.  From the current scheduling, it looks like they only do 1 or 2 dates a month for K1 visas.

 

Also, if you don't already know this, there is a limit to how many times you can log in and check for interviews before the site locks you out for the rest of the day.  I think the limit is 5 times.  It resets at midnight Moscow time.

I still remember my fiancé’s interview in March 2014.  It was still quite cold then.

Today Embassy opened the calendar for interview and was just one possible date - 29 of March

I have managed to schedule an interview on 15th of February today. Were only 2 available dates for me  15th February and March 29th

Does anybody wait for interview being scheduled by NVC (CR1/IR1 visa)? How long it takes now days? We got case complete at 12/28 and still have no interview date.

I hope you get an interview date soon, I'm going thru the same route as you are J&O. I know I just sent in my petition l this month, and really hoping for a really quick process.

 

Have you tried to call NVC?

Yeah I'm calling them every day. But there's nothing they can really help with.  Before  they were telling to wait up for 11 weeks for CC and now they are telling they don't know when the interview will be scheduled.
