Hi. This question has been answered before but I just wanted to make certain so I am asking again. My fiance and I will be mailing packet 3 to RDJ immediately after our NOA2 is approved and we have our NVC or RDJ #.

1) I have been told that we only need to mail 4 items to RDJ before our interview.

- DS-230

- DS-2001

- 2 Passport Photos (white background, with ears showing)

- Passport Photocopy (all pages of passport book)

2) Is this all we will need to mail to RDJ to be able to set up our interview?

3) I ask this because I have read in other places that people have also mailed in I-134, State Police Records, Federal Police Records, Petitioner's Tax Return, Pay Stubs, Letter from Employer, etc......

4) Plus, the instructions on the VJ website for RDJ are confusing and it states the following:

(VJ-RDJ) "If the beneficiary knows the NVC case number, they don't have to wait for the consulate to mail packet 3 to them to send back the forms and documents asked for. They can download the forms, fill them out, have the other documents needed and mail them to the consulate - provided that the beneficiary's gathered the documents asked for in the instructions, such as the federal and state police certificate; the letter sent out to the consulate should make reference to the NVC case number (starting with RDJ).

Are these 4 items all the items we will need or will we also need to mail all the other forms before our interview also? Or, do we only take the other forms along with us to the interview and give them to the interviewer by hand? We will be mailing packet 3 as soon as our NOA2 is approved and we want to make certain that we mail all of the needed papers.

Thanks for you help!!!

hi again, minhagatinha :)

Those 4 documents are the only ones you need to mail to the consulate to get an interview date.. the other documents your fiancee needs to take with her for the interview...

They say to have the other documents ready just so you won't have any problem when the interview day comes and you are still waiting on documents to be ready

I also PMed you that same information.

It's a good idea to send a cover letter with both of your names and your RDJ number.
