Hey...just wanted to give you an update. The embassy finally got back to us and scheduled his interview for yesterday. He went to new delhi embassy and the interview went great. It's just in administrative processing right now due to his pending medical results, but the officer assured him that they will contact him to drop off his passport once the medical report is received by the embassy after Jan 6th.

Seems like they made an exception for us to go to New Delhi since our case was originally received by them, but all future K1's are definitely being handled only at Mumbai.

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear the interview went well! :D

Ah, good point!! I'm going to submit an inquiry on UStraveldocs and ask because it would be 1000x easier for us if his interview was in Delhi. When I called, the rep said all existing cases would be transferred to Mumbai. But now this message you found is making me question this.

I'm facing the same problem. I have received an email from New Delhi embassay for visa interview which is on 16 feb 2018. But while scheduling biometric appointment post changes automatically to MUMBAI . Moreover  my case was received by NVC on 31 October 2017. On NVCs letter New Delhi location is informed for interview. Embassy' s person saying that you do not have to schedule biometric appointment prior to your visa interview, you can come directly on 16 feb and pay the visa fee and give biometrics.. Stuck!!!!

We ended up being able to do the interview at New Delhi. My fiance went for his interview earlier this month and it was approved, he will be arriving here to the US on Friday. Try submitting a case on US travel docs and explain that your case was received prior to Dec 1st and is in New Delhi, but the system won't allow you to schedule at New Delhi. When we did that they escalated the it to the embassy and they contacted him with an interview date at New Delhi.

Good luck!!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Also facing this issue. Our case was sent to the NVC on Nov. 2nd per our NOA2 and then the NVC lost it and USCIS said they did not have. I got my congressman involved and we emailed and called everyday for 2 months until  I took a chance on Jan 2nd ( I had also called on Dec 29th with no luck) asking for a status and the NVC said they had found our case and had already sent it to the Embassy. We had no chance to change the embassy. I had called the NVC asking if I would have to change  it in Nov. and Dec.and they had said they would use the sent from USCIS/NOA 2 date. Literally for 2 months all USCIS said was "We sent it" and the NVC said "We lost it." And when the NVC finally had a status for it was already in transit to New Delhi. Our case showed as ready at the embassy. And I had also received a letter stating our case was forwarded to Delhi and interview location Delhi- Dated letter was Jan. 3rd. We thought he needed to get a letter on his side but after checking the website and calling and emailing the support-india team they said to go ahead and start the application process. He has his PCC and Medical Completed and he attempted to select his interview date and Mumbai was the only option. Called the support team to high priority our inquiry and will find out where our interview will be and if they will transfer our case to Mumbai. Before Our case said on the ceac status site NVC #xxxxxxxxx 01 nwd now it has a 01 bmb ending. It also said our case was created on Dec. 27th. I guess they lied to me on 27th-29th of Dec.

So tried seeing our visa status on ceac just now and it says "The code entered does not match the code displayed on the page." After I type in the verification code. Not sure why it's doing this. But I know maintenance was done on the site yesterday. Calling embassy in the morning....

Hi, I am trying to schedule an interview at the Mumbai consulate. But when I try, I only see one date available and it is for April. Do they open more slot? April 20th is close to 2 months away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would immediately take it.......while it is available....

Apparently wholesale changes are on the horizon..

According to their website, effective April 1, 2018, all CR/IR 1/2 immigrant interviews would be in Mumbai only.  Looks like Delhi is outsourcing the spouse/fiance visa process en masse.

I-751 journey

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed
