Yes we decided that, after read that the N-400 were on hold because they needed the ROC done. Happily now we can move forward for apply for the citizenship.

Yes, I bet it feels great to have this step over and done with!

I applied for n400 as soon as I was eligible (early Dec) so I am not really sure what the path looks like from here. I did get one of the regular update emails a few days ago saying no update, case last touched 18 Dec. The thing is, that is an update! The previous update was from April.

So, I am just waiting and waiting....!

emerlee85- Is your friend's EAC number is EAC18061XXXX?  I an Nov 27 filer.

You need to request for missing 18 months extension letter, since you would able to get infopass.  I did got inforpass and stamped my passport for a year.

I think his was 18051 when I looked at it.

Rami1T - Congratulations, first of all!

I will guess you are a CSC filer.  Are you?

If you are...

I agree with you that we should file N400 as soon as the window opens, but the determination whether you will get I-751 approved faster all depends on whether your I-751 file has already been assigned to an adjudicator.  Your case was most likely on the desk of someone when you applied for N400, and that is why it was not transferred to NBC to schedule a combined interview at your local office.  It is clear from this forum that CSC has been approving January 2018 files steadily in the past few weeks, so it is not surprised that your case was one of them.

The rule, I was told, is that once N400 is ready to be scheduled for an interview by NBC, NBC will first check if I751 is still pending.  If yes, an I751 file will be requested.  If I751 file is still in an offsite storage, it will be sent to NBC to be batched together with your N400 file, then they both will be transferred to your local office for a combined interview.

If an I751 file has already been assigned to an adjudicator at CSC, VSC, NSC, or TSC, N400 will continue to the local office alone.

My biometrics NOA  was on 12/22/18 scheduled on   January 9 so it took 22 days . I realized its best to file online as the updates are faster than waiting in the mail.
