I received my biometrics appointment letter today. My biometrics date is 1/29/2018!! What a relief!

Yeah my friend filed too n after 3 days she got the biometric email n the letter came after 5 days it was really quick shes going to have her biometric on 25 she filed last jan 8

My case status for the longest time was that it was transferred to the Local Office, like a lot of people.

My NOA was 12/08/2017

On 01/02/2019 I got a notice that my case has been transferred to the Vermont service center. I was originally at the California center.

Has any one else been transferred like this?

USCIS

2015-02-02: Sent I-130

2015-02-04: USCIS Received and transferred to NSC

2015-02-06: NOA1

2015-06-19: NOA2 Email. 133 days between NOA1 and NOA2

2015-06-26: USCIS update that case was sent to NVC

 

NVC

2015-07-02: Case received by NVC

2015-07-14: Case number assigned when calling on 2015-07-20 but couldn't give emails as case was locked still

2015-07-27: Called and was able to give emails

2015-07-27: Submit DS-261

2015-07-27: Pay AOS Fee

2015-08-25: Receive IV bill

2015-08-26: Pay IV Fee

2015-09-05: Submit DS-260

2015-09-07: Sent AOS and IV package via EP

2015-10-11: Resubmit via EP after being told to do so on 2015-10-09 as it looked like our original emails were lost

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

weird that some CA cases are transfering to VSC.. what's your WAC?

Yeah, shouldn't give your WAC number to other people.

I did my biometrics in Atlanta this morning for my N-400. In and out in 15 minutes, super simple. Case updated straight away and wait time decreased by two months. Now we wait....again.

K-1: NOA1 to Visa Approval - 8 MONTHS, 19 DAYS

AOS: NOA1 to Green Card Approval - 3 MONTHS, 16 DAYS

ROC:  - NOA1: January 16, 2018; Case Received at Local Office: January 5, 2019;...

Citizenship:  - In Progress Estimated Completion Time: July 2020 (18 Months)

Hello everyone. I just got an RFE. Ugh I was hoping it was an approval but no. Now I have to send a bunch of stuff. As of 2 children isn’t enough evidence!!! I guess I gotta start moving so I can get my casenmoving forward and hopefully approved ASAP. Good luck to everyone else.

Oh wow have 2 children together and they sent you a RFE!!! What evidences did you initially sumbitte?

I sent prof or health and car insurances bank statements birth certificates 

taxes  but I guess that wasn’t enough. They are asking for more proof of the years before. In a few words I sent bank statements and insurance proofs but I maybe made the mistake of not sending with old dates I sent recent stuff

they want more serious stuff like a will or life insurance grand deeds. But how do you send a grand deed with only my husbands name on it? He bought his house waaaaayyy before we got married. 

They also want like a lease as proof that we live together but once again all that is under his name. We don’t pay rent only mortgage which is only under his name. That stuff has me very annoyed. Not sure if I’m being dUmb by being annoyed. Is not like from one day to another we r gonna go change all this documents. 

I’m gonna try my best and send what I have.

BarbaraL- The strongest evidence is financial mingling and that they would like to see.  

[1] Send 401K beneficiary 

[2] Explain that house is already in one name , but living in the same house- diver licence with same address

[3] Beneficiary of life insurance

[4] More back statement up to Dec or Jan 2018.

[5] When went to doctor's office, if you sign any paper to write to share medical information to husband , get a copy of it.

[6] Any joint credit card you both open after ROC filing etc

[7] Health care power of attorney 

[8] Letter from friends or neighbor ( notarized  ) to support your relation etc

[9] Nov 2018, you did medical update, - send documents

 

ALL OF THEM- from the beginning of your marriage date to now
