Look on the N-400 instructions regarding early filing. Not sure what page number it is but it talks about the 90 day early provision. You can file up to 90 days before the third anniversary of your GC. But they won't start processing your application until your GC 3 year anniversary.

Filing early at least gets your information posted and initiates the bio appointment, which takes place about a month.  I don't know if you get in line after the biometric appointment, but we are expecting to apply the end of December 2018 and have the biometric appointment sometime in January 2019.  That will make only two more months before the green card anniversary, so it could save up to two months time.

I say all that, but N-400's are taking longer to process, too.  Joy....

Signature coming soon...

Getting ready to start collecting documents in the online N400 application. Is it true that we need to resubmit all of the marriage proof documentation we submitted with I751 plus anything since then? Or only the delta? Here is what we did so far:

AOS app: evidence of relationship/dating prior to wedding, wedding photos, documents b/w wedding and interview

I751 app: joint relationship/financial documentation from date of wedding till filing date

N400 app: ??

That was so helpful, informative and put my mind at ease!

I pray you or your spouse will have a smooth journey with ROC and the citizenship afterwards!

Thanks again!

I just read your question and I'm glad you got the right answer. I haven't been online in a while hence the lack of response. Best of lucks!

You need not worry about the requirement. I was 3 years married to the US citizen and satisfied all requirement except that I was less than 2 years GC holder. I did apply for my Citizenship and sat an interview. I was told during the Citizenship interview that my N400 could not be adjudicated because by law the i-751 needs to clear first before N-400. unfortunately, my i-751 was still at the Vermont Processing Center and had not reached my local office at the time of my interview otherwise, I would have sat both interviews simultaneously the same day and have a decision the interviewing officer told me. Fast forward, my i-751 is now at my local and  I just did an infopass yesterday and was told by the immigration officer that interviewed me that he is setting up my interview in the next 3-4 weeks. I am looking out in the mail and will update the group. P.S. I am a January 2018 Filer but filed my N-400 in July of 2017 and sat interview in March of 2018.

Checking in for the first time in forever. We just got the message today about our I-751 case being transferred to the Texas Service Center to redistribute workloads. I'm not sure if that's happening for other people.

I _hope_ it goes like some of the people in the other threads where that means we're nearly done and we'll get an approval within a month or so. I'd be so stressed out if after a year, they sent an RFE for more family pictures or something inane. We didn't have an initial interview for the green card, though, because we were considered a low probability of fraud, so hopefully we're not going to get randomly tagged for more hassle.

Anyway, vibes and good luck to everyone else wading through this endless process.

Congratulations guys! I have a question: is there a way to save my incomplete online application? before starting, it says the application will still be there 30 days and I can modify it during this period, but there is no way to save my application so far and I am afraid to just close the browser, as I don't know if it'll save automatically... Does anyone know?
