Hello everyone ! My time has flown . I have a quick question. My husband’s ROC eligibility starts 12/18. Will it be ok if we file in January although the 90 day grace period begins as indicated above ? If I don’t file by 12/18 (which I know that is not happening ) disqualify us from ROC? Thanks !

Hi everyone!

I am putting the finishing touches on my package, and I can't decide whether to include our credit cards.  We literally just got around to making her an authorized user on the account (we received her card this week) and I can't decide if it would look bad, or if it would help.  I would have to wait an extra week before she would show up on the account statement.

We have joint tax transcripts and a shared bank account from just after we were married, and a lot of other kinds of evidence. So I'm not sure if this would make them stop and ask questions, or if it would add to our case.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hey there ! I am in the mist of filling things out but yes, where not applicable just place N/A and we are doing it for all spots or placing “none” (as it is indicated in the directions ). They are very picky so, don’t give them a reason to be

I usually leave blank to a non relevant questions. For instance, the form asks to list children, so I would put None (if you don't have any) in the first box and leave everything else blank. Never had an issue.

The instructions aren't very well written because sometimes it won't let you type n/a on the computer.

We’re shipping it off on Monday via USPS! What is your all suggestions for posting the package?

Should we send it with “confirmed delivery” in their designated mailing envelopes... anything else?

We sent ours priority mail in a padded envelope we bought at the PO. They gave us a tracking number and it was delivered the next day. Hope this helps :)

Good afternoon, everyone.

I am in the process of shipping my own package to the VSC. The package is in transit and should be delivered early next week, just a few days before my GC expires.

After 2 years of severe emotional abuse and cruelty, I understood that my partner suffered from the narcissistic personality disorder. Only after nearly 2 years of the therapy did I fully comprehend how he had been damaging me emotionally and psychologically (gaslighting, triangulation, projection, complete isolation, to name just a few). After idealization (phase 1) and devaluation (phase 2), he discarded me (phase 3), blackmailed me to get a divorce, and he pursued other men.

I decided to work with an attorney since I am in no good emotional or psychological condition to go through this process alone. Since my spouse was a federal law enforcement officer, my attorney and I decided to file with a regular divorce waiver (vs VAWA), though I am including statements from my therapist.

Just received our NOA1, although it's dated 12/01 so it's just taking them a while to send the correspondence, I think. Hopefully, this is reassuring for some! Happy weekend!

Good news, laurak29 - do you want to add yourself to the list?

And, yes, it extends you one year from the date the green card expires. Until then you green card is just valid as was.

okey so heres one of the nightmares on our status lol...they send back our package due to expired form... i print that form on the day that we send the package 12/07/2017... so i really dont have any idea what day the revised form went available... it says on the letter that we need to use the revised form 12/23/2016  and you can find it at the bottom of the form and yet the expiration date on the top of the form says 11/30/17... from k1 to aos went really smooth and this is the first time we got problem bout our paper and it wasnt that big but still it cost me 61 dollars again to send the package..... and i notice one thing bout our paper work... they took all the folders clips and clams and they just stock it up all together and i saw stamp on top of the paper work says recorded... and letter ask me to send it to the address mention and it was a different address... i mailed it today and hoping im doing the right thing lol  oh well...
