I received my biometrics appointment letter today. My biometrics date is 1/29/2018!! What a relief!

FINALLY! My cheque has been cashed! Never been so happy to see money leave our account. Looks like sending my package back with the updated form worked. NOA to wait for now, at least that's one less thing to worry about for us :)

8 January 2018 - Check cashed in

11 January 2018 - NOA received (DATE of NOA: 3 JAN 2018)

22 January 2018 - Biometrics Appointment letter received

30 January 2018 - Biometrics Appointment

11 August 2018 - 18 Months extension received (Exp on Sept 2019)

8 April 2019 - I751 Approved

12 April 2019 - NOA and greencard received

I supposed with a government shut down looming, I don't want our biometrics letter to be in the mail.  I would rather it be issued next week or whenever we are sure the government is functioning again!  

 

I just wanted to add, for the K-1 and AOS, we used money orders to pay for the fees.  The service centers seemed to take longer to cash the money order than those of my same filer threads, but it didn't seem to affect the processing of our case.

I believe government shutdown does not affect USCIS, DHS etc. only agencies which rely on government funding. Realistically most departments plan for these things anyway and have money to cover the shutdown time. I used to work as a contractor for the DoE in the last shutdown and didn't come close to missing a day of work or paycheck because we had a surplus saved up. I wouldn't worry about this.

I had to google about this lol, I don't even know what Govt Shutdown is lol

Again, the shutdown does not affect USCIS, no field offices will be closed and no non-employment based visa will be affected. At worst some applications may be delayed, and only if the shutdown goes on for a while. Even USPS will be open since it is also not entirely government funded, so even your mail will be delivered.

Hey Charlie where have u been :P Grats on receiving NOA, the biometrics is a headache since I want to travel home. :(

By looking at the list, seems like most NOA's are received.

My I-751 package was delivered on 12/30 and NOA1 date is 1/2.

Can anyone update my info? Thanks in advance!

I cant update my info since my phone is so slow now...

 

now I’m waiting on biometrics letter and have been checking mail box everyday. But I haven’t received it..... I hope it comes sometime next week!

Hey guys, im wondering its been awhile since anyone received biometrics. Did anyone get any biometrics since last week?

My NOA date is on 12/18/2017 and still waiting for biometrics! It is getting a bit frustrating! Do you think it is normal waiting for that long?
