Question, which form do you all December filers use? Since I've been waiting for a month and didn't hear back from them at all...I'm wondering if it's because my form is not the correct version.

I checked the files I sent them and on the top right corner of the form says that the form expires 11/30/17 (it's the 12/23/16 version), I sent out my packet on 12/20/17 with that form.

Now I go to their website and there is an updated version I either saved the perevous version in Nov and just worked on it until I sent my packet or I just didn't see the newer one at the time I sent my packet?!

I used the one that expires 12/30/2019.

The form was updated around 21-23 Dec. I remembered I mentioned about it cos I was advised by other posters to wait for the new updated form and submitted my package on 29 Dec.

I recalled that I was checking it every freaking hour during those 3 days nonstop for the updated form.

Sadly if in case they rejected your forms, we can't actually find evidence on their site when it was uploaded :(

Omfg you got to be kidding me!!! I sent my packet on 12/20 how in the world could I know or even have access to the form that literally was updated the same weekend. Ugh now I'm waiting to see if they send my packet back so I can refile, or will refile in Feb. I hate this!!!!

yeah racheal&david submitted hers on 23rd using the older version :( and her package was sent back to her.

But I don't think that's the reason though, maybe they're waiting for bulk cashier's check check-ins.

I mean the dates are so close I'm sure they have a cut off date.

You mean calling USCIS? I thought they wouldn't be able to check without a case number? Do I give them my A # for them to look up..?

Im not sure how too but I don't have any Biometrics letter, and I provided them my NOA, SSN, A# when I ask about the biometrics.

Did you send your package with a return receipt and certified mail? (USCIS Signature)

I used the same form you did and sent it to VSC on Dec. 27, 2017.  It was received on Jan. 2nd, 2018 and we got the NOA dated 1/3/2018.

Did you track your package and see for sure it was delivered properly?

I mailed my package on Dec 22, 2017 and It was delivered to California Service Center on Dec 26, 2017 Checks were cashed on Dec 28, 2017. I think if your checks have been cashed then USCIS has accepted your submission. When I sent in my Package the Application had expired and I checked on Dec 22 2017 Morning to see if there was a new application and there wasn't so My guess is if your check has been cashed they are processing your application. I haven't received any Notification yet. I'll call them I hope things are OK with my application. They should have a better way of Tracking stuff online its 2018! Why are they stuck in 90s Tech?! And I didn't see any difference in the new application its the same form except the expiry date on the top right corner is changed. So there's no point in rejecting a form if they are using machines to scan data electronically they should still be able to read data from the old forms. If they reject they're just being Jerks and nothing else.

Mine goes to VSC so timeline wise it might differ but I totally agree with you on the tracking part, how in the world that we are mailing loads of files to them with money and have absolutely no way of tracking where things go. This is so stupid. And since I didn't know better I used a cashiers check thinking it's safer than personal check, I am unable to see if they cashed it. However I went to the bank and they tried to look up into their system and gave me an answer" No it's not cashed. "

Well yes and no. My tracking never showed as delivered so I called the post office in Vermont, they told me that they have been experiencing issues on the online tracking even when they are actually delivered they are shown as not delivered. They used their internal system and confirmed that it was delivered. They also printed me the confirmation and mailed me all the info so it does seem like it was delivered but who knows.. That's already worrisome to begin with. So I really have no idea.

@JDBLB By looking at the list, seems like some of us have not received NOA since the date before yours.

I wonder if they're in same situation, let me ask.

@morkie @Gborrello @1503MichaelB @klu&mna @MrsBronson @EsmeraldaNGilmer Hey guys, any updates on receiving your NOA and check cashed in? Did anyone of you happen to use cashier's check?

I think the Cashier's check the money is already withdrawn from your account when you get the check right? I'm not sure if there's a way to track when and where it gets deposited to. I just spoke to USCIS agent this morning and they asked me to wait 30 days and then give them a call if you haven't heard back I'll call them on the 31st day and I'm trying to setup a Infopass in case I don't get any help from the Phone Support People but In Califoria all the centers don't have any appointments yet to go see someone in person. I would suggest you do the same I think if you see someone in person they can get more information. It happened to me last time too I never got a RFE and I had to go in person to find out about it and if I hadn't gone I would have missed mailing the RFE. So Just set up a Infopass appointment after the 30 day wait period and take all the documents you can that will allow the USCIS officer to track your case. Your USPS tracking number, check numbers, Previous Green Card Receipts, Driver's License Etc. They should be able to help you in person.

My husband called them today and they said I can call after 30 days (which would be this Sat because they don't count Christmas and New Year's Day) but they don't open on sat so the earliest day I can call to get to talk to a tier two officer will be next Monday, and I will call that day.

As for the Cashiers check, yes they withdraw your money when you order it and move the money to the banks own account to ensure that the check wouldn't bounce. So I went to the branch and the bank used their system to check to see if the money is still with them, they couldn't find any records of it being cashed therefore they believe that it is still not cashed.
