I know that feeling when USCIS takes money away from our bank :)

My check cashed last Thursday and I am waiting for noa1. I will update my timeline when I receive it. I will be flying oversea in 2 more weeks and that noa1 is a must for traveling

Im flying off in Feb for Chinese new year, Im actually worried about getting NOA and just leave without biometrics appointment letter on hand. I don't want to miss the schedule. Are you going to wait for biometrics letter?

Hopefully it will reach me soon.

There are 2 options for me :)

If they biometric app. Letter comes before I leave, I will try to take it early walk-in and see if they allow my wife to get it done, many people got it done successfully earlier than the scheduled date. If the letter arrives late, I will ask my Dad to send it back to reschedule it.

I am going to Vietnam for 2 months for the Chinese New Year also. Where are you going to? :)

Hey team,

Especially since you guys are traveling soon, I recommend signing up for the USPS informed delivery:

https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

This will email you an image of the incoming mail you will receive that day and you will know when a USCIS letter is waiting in the mail box.  I have ready some posts saying they received their ROC biometrics letter after the appointment because the mail was delayed for the holidays!  You may try to see if you can do an early walk-in after you get the NOA.  I believe they only scan four of your fingers if your last biometrics was completed within a period of time.

Signature coming soon...

That is a great idea. However, my mailing address of the application is my grandma's house. I think we can only do early walk-in if we have the biometric app. letter in hand. I also read that they could accept late biometric walk-in up to 3 months, but that is kinda risky. Right now noa1 is my first priority :)

Its nice that you have someone to track your mails. We live in apartment and no one tracks our mail other than USPS informed delivery. Our informed delivery sucks, sometimes they don't scan, sometimes its upside down lol.

I'm heading home in Singapore for Chinese New Year. We will be away for about 3 weeks, that is the max amount of leaves my husband can apply for. I'm hoping to leave in Early Feb, we have not purchase tickets yet.

Filed I-751 and evidence on Dec. 27, 2017.

Vermont Service Center received package on Jan. 2, 2018

Evidence Sent:

I sent official IRS tax transcripts for the last 3 years - you can download these online at irs.gov

copy front and back of green card

copy of drivers license with current address

copy of health insurance card with both names on it

copy of last residence deed

copy of last residence transfer deed to new owner

current residence deed

current deed of trust

current home equity line of credit with both names

current property tax bill

home owners association showing us both on it

car insurance declaration pages

home owners declaration pages

umbrella insurance declaration pages

life insurance showing my wife as beneficiary

a couple of bank statements showing our joint account

health savings account showing both of us on it

I think that's about it.  I didn't bother with photos and such... as they don't really prove anything, but may

be helpful if your other evidence is a bit thin...

Photos are a very strong piece of evidence that proves a bonefide marriage. I would be very shocked if you don't receive an RFE.  I would HIGHLY suggest sending at least 10 photos.

I don't think he would get an RFE because he didn't include photos. They have a bunch of evidence that show their joint life together as well as strong joint financial responsibility. Photos don't really prove anything and can be staged

We didn’t send photos either.  I figured the financial intertwined bank accounts, insurance, tax filings and joint addresses on our drivers licenses (and other stuff) would mean more.  But, I also don’t expect the USCIS to touch our case until the N-400 interview either.

But if you do get an RFE, your case is close to getting closed and approved!

Signature coming soon...
