Thank you. Can you tell me how long after your check cased you received noa1? I am living near Chicago, it has been 4 days after my check cased but the noa1 has not arrived yet

Check cleared on the 27th, we received NOA1 in the mail on the 29th. With the Holidays ending, you should receive it this week.

Very interesting indeed. I'm sure nowadays it is more than a million applications since the clip is from more than 5 years ago...

Very nice!  Does the USC spouse have to go too?  Or just the GC spouse?

Did they ask for the green card?

My wife had an appointment today as well. We did not take her green card because the NOA doesn't say you need to bring one unless its for citizenship. So the front clerk immediately called for the supervisor. The supervisor came and asked for the green card. I said we've been following the NOA instructions, but my pregnant wife got schooled how she is required to carry the card at all times and could be arrested for that.. Then took the driver's license, went to the office and came out with the copies of the card.. The FP process took probably less than 3min.

09/03/15 - AOS mailed to Chicago

10/05/15 - RFE recvd

10/07/15 - Biometrics done, RFE sent

10/13/15 - Online status changed RFE under review

10/15/15 - 2nd RFE issued and mailed

11/18/15 - RFE response sent

12/03/15 - i765 Approved

12/10/15 - EAD recvd

12/17/15 - Interview is scheduled on Jan 21

01/21/16 - Approved/Card in production

01/28/16 - GC recvd

Legally, you are supposed to carry the GC at all times. No matter the situation.

That said, I do believe that a photocopy of the GC is ok to carry around on a day-to-day basis. Can someone support this claim?

Lesson is:  when visiting any USCIS office bring MORE than you need and ALWAYS bring your GC. GC is your MOST important document. :)

Yeah, I know you must carry at all times. Was a bad planning on our part.

Per that link it doesn't say you must bring the green card and the driver's license should be sufficient. Also, the green card could have been expired and to carry one would make absolutely no sense.

I assume the office was mostly full of daca people. Seems like they're getting all the credits regardless of being out of status.

Well that is a generic USCIS biometric appointment web page.

Since you are going for your GC, you MUST bring your GC (and everywhere for that matter too). Your GC should essentially be with your normal driving license at all times.

Hey everyone, received my biometrics letter today, it's dated 12/22 so I guess it was held up from the holidays. It's at a different place from the place I went to last time which I thought was strange. Oh well!
