Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum. I just mailed my I-751 form on 12-6-2017.  Am I in the right forum?  I just realized that I did not specify on the outside of the envelope that  it was to the attention of: I-751 .  I only put the address of the California Service Center on it.  Will this cause a delay?

Hello!

Posted our ROC package today; USPS Priority Mail 3 day, expected arrival Tuesday 12/12/17.

I didn't receive a USCIS reminder to file ROC. I have read this happens to people often, who have moved since AOS, which is the case for me.

What about other people? Did you receive the letter?

Im so glad to see you here Amhara!!!!!!!! Back from K1 visa, AOS journey!

I was trying to search high and low for ur nickname lol.

I won't be applying for citizenship in near future as my country does not allow Dual.

I'll be filing my ROC end of Dec!

Hoping to see more familiar names!

Hi Roy&Chanel!  Welcome and great to see you guys, too!

No dual citizenship?  That is a bummer.  The funny thing about Afghanistan is they don’t either, unless the Afghan citizen became a foreign citizen during war or for economic depression - so that pretty much means that any Afghan citizen since the 1970’s is allowed to take foreign citizenship!  However, I did read that the US does not disclose citizenship status with other countries, although I wouldn’t trust that; anything could happen!  Best to keep the native citizenship and remain a US permanent resident!

Thanks, Ausa!  I wonder if the two threads have been merged yet?  I think we will be watching your timeline because you are first and now set the pace!

Hi Ausa - we didn’t get a reminder either. We have moved and I let them know when we did but I sort of assumed that getting the reminder is less common than not!

Welcome to the forum!

I think in the anxiety to send off my package I forgot to put that on the envelope too but I think that’s a suggestion from visajourney to help things along rather than a requirement from USCIS.

Hi everyone! :)

Filed our ROC and got our receipt notice, dated 12/04. Filing with CSC though, so sounds like its time to get comfy with waiting again.

Incidentally, I tried to log in to the USCIS site and add our case number for updates, but it keeps telling me my number is invalid. Anyone else have that issue?

Hi everyone!

We sent off my I751 packet on 12/7 to VSC. Checking our bank account every hour to see if they deducted the check! Eagerly waiting NOA1... I forgot how much of a nerve wracking process this is.

Thank you! I hope it doesn't take too long to hear from USCIS.

We did not receive a notice either. When do they usually send the reminder? The only reason we realized my husbands greencard was about to expire is because he took it out to look at it and noticed it was going to expire February 6th of 2018. I'm so glad he noticed. I thought his greencard was for 3 years not 2.
