Okey so i got my I-751 approval notice the other day came from lee summit, then today i recieved a transfer notice from laguna niguel ca.  So i check my status from approved to your case has been transfer to another office .. is tgis normal? Kinda wierd approval then it was transfered

If you case is really approved, you should receive your green card soon.. It may be a false alarm but you don't know till you have your green card on hand..

I was worried for couple of days  till today my n400 status change that my n400 oath ceremony was scheaduled n they mail me when n where will going to be my oath ceremony.. so i guess it was late notice from csc that they transfer my case to my local office when i did my combo interview last april 15 ... i cant believe im almost done after 15 months of waiting ... thank you guys for everything

Hello Everyone,

 

My husband had his USC interview this past Tuesday.  Unfortunately, we didn't complete the move, so we didn't meet the 90 day requirement for the citizenship.  The IO was very nice and conducted the ROC interview with us.  She asked if we had any additional evidence to add, to which I gave the 2018 tax return, and started going through insurance (medical and life) policies.  The IO mentioned that we gave a lot of evidence during the initial mailing and said that what we had should be enough.  I let her know that two of our bank accounts are still joint, but one account is now separate; she didn't seem to have a problem with that.

 

She said she would approve the ROC, but would need to transfer the USC case back to Dallas since we didn't complete our move.  She did mention that if we had completed the move, they would have re-scheduled the interview to a few months down the road to meet the 90 day residency requirement, which I thought was very helpful.  She was planning on stamping my husband's passport, since his GC shows an expired date to help prevent from having to carry around the letter.  But then she decided not to since she will be approving the case and he should receive his 10-year before a trip out of the country in June.

 

I was hoping to receive a notification that day, but we didn't get anything.  The DHS/USCIS USC case updated to a transferred notification, but the USCIS case did not update.  So now we are back in limbo.  I have a theory that the IO may have approved the CR-89 case, which we don't have.  Now we wish we had asked for the I-751 stamp, but in the worse case scenario, the extension letter is still effective until September of this year and we should know something by May.

 

We called USCIS, but tier two reps weren't taking any more transfers for the day.  The saga continues into next week.  We kept the mailing address as my mother's address, (the one we were going to move to temporarily) and updated the physical address with the IO.  My brother-in-law had a horror story about trying to get his daughter's GC delivered to their address, so I don't know if we are going to be facing that or not.  Best case, we should be finished with ROC by May 2019; next month.  Worst case, we will have no idea of his ROC before he travels out of the country in June....

 

Concurrently, given the Dallas processing time, we don't expect to think about the citizenship interview until October 2019, but realistically, will have the interview in January - February 2020.

Checked the case status today and says that my n400 interview has been scheduled.  No date yet.

I-751 still pending, so I assume, I'll have a combo interview.

Maybe we should consider citizenship (n-400). Just thinking we have to do this every 10 years makes me crazy (grant it, I could be wrong on my assumption and it gets easier)

My husband had his USC interview this past Tuesday.  Unfortunately, we didn't complete the move, so we didn't meet the 90 day requirement for the citizenship.  The IO was very nice and conducted the ROC interview with us.  She asked if we had any additional evidence to add, to which I gave the 2018 tax return, and started going through insurance (medical and life) policies.  The IO mentioned that we gave a lot of evidence during the initial mailing and said that what we had should be enough.  I let her know that two of our bank accounts are still joint, but one account is now separate; she didn't seem to have a problem with that.

 

She said she would approve the ROC, but would need to transfer the USC case back to Dallas since we didn't complete our move.  She did mention that if we had completed the move, they would have re-scheduled the interview to a few months down the road to meet the 90 day residency requirement, which I thought was very helpful.  She was planning on stamping my husband's passport, since his GC shows an expired date to help prevent from having to carry around the letter.  But then she decided not to since she will be approving the case and he should receive his 10-year before a trip out of the country in June.

 

I was hoping to receive a notification that day, but we didn't get anything.  The DHS/USCIS USC case updated to a transferred notification, but the USCIS case did not update.  So now we are back in limbo.  I have a theory that the IO may have approved the CR-89 case, which we don't have.  Now we wish we had asked for the I-751 stamp, but in the worse case scenario, the extension letter is still effective until September of this year and we should know something by May.

 

We called USCIS, but tier two reps weren't taking any more transfers for the day.  The saga continues into next week.  We kept the mailing address as my mother's address, (the one we were going to move to temporarily) and updated the physical address with the IO.  My brother-in-law had a horror story about trying to get his daughter's GC delivered to their address, so I don't know if we are going to be facing that or not.  Best case, we should be finished with ROC by May 2019; next month.  Worst case, we will have no idea of his ROC before he travels out of the country in June....

 

Concurrently, given the Dallas processing time, we don't expect to think about the citizenship interview until October 2019, but realistically, will have the interview in January - February 2020. 

my question is how IO knows that you have not completed the move from TX to AZ? Is 90 days residency rule only matter when you file N400? It seems like you have to live in the same district for 90 days where your interview takes place rather than where you originally filed N400..

See, that’s what I thought, too.  I figured the 90 days wouldn’t apply after the filing.  I believe that the rule is described in the Policy Manual the way the IO described, though.

 

As for how she knew that we didn’t complete the move, well, we were under oath, so we explained it when she got to the address part.

 

She did mention at the beginning that if he passed, the oath would occur around June and if that was okay for him.  My mom-in-law was in an accident back in Afghanistan.  Once he graduates next month, he needs to go back, which the ticket is in June.  So hopefully things still workout.

 

We tried changing the address online last night, but the system was saying that the receipt number didn’t match with the form number.  So something might have happened?

not sure why Dec filers are moving slower than Jan/Feb 2018...

By the way, thats really good information that you shared Amhara, I didn't know of the 90 days..

@crazycat Just wait for alittle more before you take citizenship if it requires to give up ur home country, I thought about it for a long time, I'm glad that I waited..but now my concerns are getting a good job
